I want to say, first thanks for the responses, even tho I fully expect some will be trolls and jerks.
I have spent many hours reading, watching videos, scouring threads to find this answer - and I can't.
My n5 is lollipop'd up, and I think it's time to go to a ROM... Cataclysm for now as it seems to have exactly what I want/need.
Thing is, everything I read is either incomplete, confusing, for kit kat, or gives pretty varying info on how to go from COMPLETELY STOCK STATE to a rom.
DO you know of, or does there exist a LEGIT/TRUSTED video/guide from VERY STEP 1 (as in, stock and never altered) Lollipop to getting a ROM such as cataclysm on the phone.
The other part which confuses me is Cataclysm has root already? SO you dont have to do the step of rooting yourself, or is that not correct?
Again, I apologize for the uber rookie posting, but I have done a lot of reading, and unfortunately, most of it stinks.
