I just received 2 D801's from China. One black and one white. The black one arrived with D80120a installed and it got OTA updates to D80120g immediately. No problems with this phone. The white one arrived with D80120d installed ( a screenshot is attached). I can't find any info on this version. T-mobile doesn't recognize this version, so no OTA updates coming. The LG Mobile Support Tool recognizes it as D80120d with no updates available.
I can find only 2 things missing in this version. The first is that there is no T-Mobile bloat anywhere (a good thing). The second is that there is no wi-fi calling (I need this). I guess my questions are: What version software is on this phone? Would it be safe to load a D80120a,e,g kdz with the LGFlashTool2014? I would really like to get wi-fi calling working on this. It is my wife's phone, so I have no desire to root. Thanks!
