[Q] How can I unlock TF201 with Android Version 4.1.1? topic

Here's a short story which explains my situation.

I am a small computer/device repair company owner. A couple weeks ago a I took on a TF201 with a broken digitizer. This turned out to be the worst mistake I've made since opening my business. Apparently the LCD was adhered to the digitizer (unlike iPad's). Also the replacement digitizers do not come with frames. I sat there and picked off broken shards of glass for over an hour, cleaning up the frame and LCD.

After receiving the new digitizer, I adhered it to the frame. Naturally before adhering the LCD to the digitizer I tested the device. Of course the LCD was damaged during the removal of the digitizer. I then ordered the replacement LCD. Once received I put it all together and tested it again only to find the x-axis was reversed. Apparently this is a fairly common issue with this repair because Asus decided to make modifications during production. The TF201 I took on is a later production while the digitizer is a replica of the earlier production.

From what I've collected, the fix is to: unlock the device, install a custom recovery, and flash the device with AndroWook Prime Hairy Bean v2.2 (found hered: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1674827). Allegedly there is an option to reverse the x-axis during the installation of AndroWook.

Since this is a customers device I am proceeding with the utmost caution to prevent from bricking. I have attempted to follow the instructions for unlocking from this page: http://matthill.eu/android/transform...ybean-nvflash/ . When doing so I get an error that states "An unknown error occurs, which could be a network connection issue, please wait and try again later." It is connected to the internet. I've also tried turning the device off and back on again. Other pages for unlocking this device require ICS.

I'm looking for a solution for unlnocking the device, it would be greatly appreciated if I can be pointed in the right direction. Other (costly) options which I'm avoiding include: buying a replacement tablet, having some else fix it, ordering the correct replacement.
