I'm curious as to why this method of rooting wouldn't work for the D6616 (because if it did then it would have already been reported).

^This tool seems to be able to make pre-rooted firmware. If I take the stock firmware from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/g...odels-t2886061 shouldn't I be able to make a rooted firmware and then flash it with the tool on that same post? The fact that no one else has reported this makes me believe that it won't work. Thanks for any input. Why doesn't this work? And if it does then it looks like I might have just found a way to root this phone :p but highly doubtful
