The new S Note app doesn't replace the old vetsion! topic

After installing the New S Note 3.1 from Galaxy store, it didn't replace my stock S Note on Galaxy Note 8. It works as a seperate app. I mean that I have two S Note apps Why?
Is it safe to disable the stock old version?
