Hi guys, I would like to increase the internal memory and RAM on my low end Android phone, using the SD Card. The sd card is class 10, but the phone is not rooted and I'm not sure I can find a method that will root it. So any ideas on how to do this on a non rooted device?

Does anyone have a working mounts2sd/link2sd/apps2sd solution for the Moto G 2014? I have a freshly formatted good quality 16Gb card with a 3gb Ext4 partition but no matter what script or app I try I can't get additional /data space. Moving apps to SD Card in Settings>Apps is completely pointless as it moves them to the internal /sdcard, not to the external one so you get absolutely zero gain in internal space. I have used mounts2sd on several older phones before but nothing recently as I've always had 32Gb phones, but now my son has this phone and he's run out of app space already! Any help would be greatly appreciated. He's running the latest Oxygen 5.0.2 ROM with Pinkman kernel iirc.

Also as an aside, is there a kernel for his phone with working s2w/dt2w?

I'm only getting 1.58 GB and after the reboot my ram usage is like 1.31/1.58. I know it's 2GB device. So the question is why only 1.58gb can be used and how to increase it to 2.0gb? Anyone?

Things before increasing RAM ::laugh:

Before you actually start out to increase the RAM of your smartphone there are a couple of things you need to know. In this post we will use a app to increase the RAM and this app requires root access to your phone. So make sure you root your phone before starting out. Also note that there are some issues with this app as roof uses a swap file that will be made on your SD card and hence used as ram but as some of the Android smartphones so not support swap file so this app won’t be functional in that case, so before starting out make sure your device supports swap file. Pre-requisites :

Here is a list of things we will need before starting the process to increase RAM.

A rooted android phone, so if you haven’t yet rooted your phone first root your device as this method only works with root access to your device.

How to Use ROEHSOFT RAM Expander :

So file the steps below to increase the RAM of your Android smartphone now.

Install the app on your device on which you wish to increase RAM
Now after installing the app choose your default language.
Now to increase RAM create a SWAP file by clicking on the SWAP Active and enabling it
After the process is finished just click on the grey colored box and activate the swap file created.
Congratulations you have successfully increased the RAM of your Android smartphone.

This increased ram will not show in the task manager but you can feel the change with the overall performance of the device which seems to be boost up. How To Increase your internal storage for htc wilfire s topic

I want to show you today how to increase your internal storage (like free storage) up to 1GB or more because we can't live with 30 MB free so I want to show you how to reach more.. clockwork mod and root is needed-
I tried with TWRP and it won't flash INT2EXT, so don't try with TWRP
Min. 2 GB card is needed! And only clockwork mod with ROOT!
1.: download the link in the attacheds files (CronMod-INT2EXT4+_signed.zip for new roms; or INT2EXT+ for older roms)
2.: put it on your SD card and let 1 GB (or how many internal storage you want to have) free
3.: copy the whole SD files on the computer! important, because it will remove all your things of your card
4.: get into recovery
5.: select advanced - go to Partition SD Card
6.: then select your size, you want to have free
7.: at Swap size, select what you want.. I don't know what that means
8.: wait until it has finished
9.: go to mounts and storage and mount usb
10.: connect your phone to your computer again and copy all files back to the SD Card but let so much free how you partitioned
11.: select install zip from SD Card
12.: choose zip from SD card
13.: then install the CronMod-INT2EXT4+_signed.zip and wait until it has finished
13.: again to mounts and storage and format sd-ext
14.: reboot phone
15.: enjoy
you only have to do this once!!
If you flash a new rom and you did a clear wipe, you have to boot the rom, then come back to recovery, install INT2EXT and format sd-ext!!
it's working 100%
his is how I have done and now I have 780 MB free internal storage (I partitioned 1 GB and swap size I have chosen the last)

The N7 is an amazing tablet, but lets face it, the S4 Pro and Adreno 320 GPU really aren't up to the task when it comes to gaming on such a high resolution screen. Graphically intensive games just don't run as well as they should. So I did some digging and testing, and found an app that lets you lower your screen resolution, thus decreasing the strain on the GPU and increasing gaming performance. When changing the resolution to 800x1280, I found a noticeble increase in framerate in 3D games such as Riptide GP 1+2, NOVA 3, and Modern Combat 5, and the games still look great. You're not going to want to leave the resolution set that low all the time because it does make everything else look pretty bad, but when you're going to play a game, it only takes a second to set the resolution and start playing. It's a paid app (there are free ones that do the same thing, but I've had the best luck with this one), but considering the gains, it's worth every penny of the .99 asking price.
