[Q] Note 4 ~ Android 5.0 ~ Touchwiz topic

Okay first of all, I have only made one ROM ever, so I am not the brightest on this subject. My question though is for a Dev that is fairly smart. Would it be possible for those itching to have lollipop on their Note 4, but who don't want to lose Touchwiz features, to install the international Note 3 5.0 ROM on their Note 4 if a Dev would port it. If its possible why hasn't some talented dev( because there are several here) ported it yet. I know the structure would be a little different, but I'm thinking it would be entirely possible to port it with some tinkering. Just let me know if I am way off base or if this would be something to really look at.

I would like to know if someone that has the international version of the Note 4 has LTE working in the US or if there is a workaround on how to make it work.

[Q] Change font on Note 4 topic

Hi guys. Need a little enlightenment here.

I have rooted my note 4 recently, and want to change the fonts. I've downloaded iFont and HiFont to change it but when I selected my desired font to change, it prompted "Not enough storage space". Googled it up, pointed to app cache issues. Cleared it, but still not able to change. Not even the default ones like rosemary can be selected.

Just to share what happened after the rooting process as well; I changed the lcd density in build.prop to 200. Gosh that was a bad move. keyguard(something something) prompted forced to stop after restarted. Couldn't press a single thing. Attempted to put in TWRP recovery via Odin on PC, but prompted failed. I had no choice but to wipe data. After I reboot and the setup and stuff, then this happen after I attempted to change font.

I've found this on Youtube and it was used for another tablet. Apparently , it installs Windows 8 on an Android tablet and someone could back up the Android partition in case said person wanted to get back to Android.

[Q] Change DPI on Note 4G in MIUI 6 topic

Hello all,

I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G with MIUI 6.2.2.0 Stable Version and root access. Before I had a Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 (inch) and Huawei Mate 7 (6.0 inch), but comparing to these phones everything feels very big on the Redmi Note 4G. It really feels like a phone and not like a tablet (like the Galaxy Mega and Mate 7). Especially browsing is irritating, because of all the scrolling on every page.

So I would like to change my DPI on the Redmi Note 4G, however for some reason the apps Texdroider_DPI and Root DPI Changer from the Play Store are not working. I tried to change the DPI in these apps (before with other phones it worked like a charm), but after a reboot everything stays the same on the Redmi Note 4G.

My questions is, who here has succesfully changed its DPI on the Redmi Note 4G? Also, to what DPI size did you change it and how did you do it?

[Q] Verizon Note 4 with At&t sim topic

I just recently got a hold of a nice like new Note 4 and would like to start using it as my personal phone. The only issue I have is that I can't get data when I swap my atnt sim in, I don't know what else I can try. I am not familiar with android devices and I am not comfortable with messing with roms/unlocks/jailbreaks so I don't know what i'm doing. I have tried serching on google and on other sites but I have not been able to find a definite answer to my issue. Most other threads are old or have not been answered. What can I try to get data on my Note 4. I believe it is unlocked because I can call and text without issues but no data, I have tried chaning APN settings that I found on google but to no avail.
My Note 4 model is SM-N910V on android 4.4.4. The current phone I have is a 5s on AT&T and I used a sim adapter to get it to work on the Note 4. Maybe I need to call atnt and talk to them, please let me know if anyone has the same issue or is trying to do the same thing as me.

[Q] Unrooted Note 4, Samsung rep or Tmobile cannot access the phone system! topic

Tmobile Note 4, trying to get it replaced under warranty. Rooted and flashed roms on it before. I set it back stock last night, cleared all caches, wiped/formatted all data and factory reset. I flashed stock NK4 through Odin and everything went smoothly, status says "official", the stock bootloader is loaded, I've even done a factory reset within the stock OS just to make sure.

Tmobile store says they can't see the phone through their software, it just won't connect. Samsung rep at BB said same thing, and also showed me when he hit update software in settings nothing happened.

Weird, anyone have any ideas? I'm getting ready to send it back and would rather it was back to stock so I don't get any hassles.

Bluetooth and wifi is not stable on note 4 N910G topic

hello,
i have N910G note 4 rooted with CF-root
the problem is bluetooth is suddenly drop when it in sleep for several minutes. i need it goes stable cause i connect it with pebble for notification
and the second one is wifi sometimes looks like drop. the wifi signal is ok. the other device is connected in the same access point but there is no problem.
when it looks down, the wifi still show as connected, but whatsup can not send message. bbm is connected but also cannot send message.
whatsup and bbm show up loading tiny account for message remaining to sent.
browser also cannot browsing.

it can resolve if i reboot. but it really annoying. when i really need this connection stable

So I've looked at a bunch of how to videos, and guides, I've tried Towelroot, and GhettoRoot. I've spent hours attempting to root this PoS. I'm at my wit's end to be completely honest. [Q] Should I root my note 4? topic

I know it's probably been asked a thousand times, and it's probably a matter of opinion, but I want some input before rooting my note 4. I have rooted every android device I have ever owned, in most cases before they even got warm, but for some reason I'm hesitant With this one, I love it as it is, and I mostly like touchwiz but I put up with its limitations because I like the few perks that the stock launcher provides over an alternative launcher, I really only want to root just for Xposed mods and various root applications, I can't see myself flashing a custom rom anytime soon, unless someone works out how to implement all of the Samsung hardware features. My main concern at the moment I suppose is warranty and OTA update to Lollipop (if that ever happens), I know you can just get the stock rom/image when it's available but I would prefer OTA, at least for the first upgrade to lollipop. can you root but still keep the stock recovery? Can you root without tripping knox? Is there some sort of fuse like there was in the S4 (and I presume the S5,never had one), is it hard to un root?, any other downsides to rooting the note 4?

BUT Kernel version is old(and i got little lags on menu after update to kitkat chunky ... how can i update ? Hello guys, as may some of you know, I also have some of this keyboards in my rom and now I thought, why don't make them public? So everyone can flash it on his tab, no mather if his running another rom or stock rom :)

It is working fine on Tab S 8.4 and 10.5 (all variants) But it may also work with other Tablets, such as Tab 4 or Tab 3. You just have to run stock android 4.4.2 or higher.

This mod requiers root acces and a working recovery! So you warranty is void. I'm not responsible for a damaged device!

Instructions:
0. Have a working recovery (TWRP or Philz Touch)
1. Download the file you want
2. Copy it to your tab
3. Reboot to recoverymode
4. Select the zip file and install it
5. Reboot and you are done!

Bugs:
-With the Note Pro keyboard, the restrictive text will may not work... :(
