AOSP Dialer and Contacts for Optimus G3 topic

I made a flashable zip that replaces the contacts and installs the aosp one with the google dialer. Works on Optimus G3 and probably on every rom which has the LGContacts.apk in the priv-app folder. This zip also deletes the LGContacts.odex! ;)

Want to use ATT LG Optimus G Pro (E980) on TMobile... Have a few questions. topic

Anybody have experience using the ATT E980 unlocked on TMobile service? LTE bands work well on the phone?

Also I've been searching for ROMs for the past hour, and cant seem to find any with a "hacked hotspot" aka "unrestricted tethering". I have the unlimited TMobile plan, and need a ROM with the unlimited hotspot feature. Does anybody know of one?

Hi,

I am based in India and I bought AT&T LG Optimus G Pro from USA and got it unlocked in India. Also I got it rooted as well.

Now whenever I am trying to do software update, the message comes "Your phone is not registered yet".

Is it possible to get OTA update released by AT&T without registering? If no, then what should I do for it?

Also since it is rooted, Can I get Latest Lollipop/ Kitkat android on it?

Please confirm.

Rooting lg optimus V SIMPLE topic

Was looking through the forums and seeing all these complicated instructions on how to root your optimus v device and decided to post this for the not so tech savvy users. Note rooting has its dangers such as bricking and voiding warranties wich i am NOT responsible for. You proceed at your own risk. Please read COMPLETELY BEFORE ATTEMPTING ROOT.

Heres what youll need. An internet connection, your phone, and its web browser. Thats it, no computer, cables, etc, etc.

First go to settings > security and check unknown source. Then open the phones browser and search for stumproot.apk download and install it from a trusted source. (I believe theirs links floating around on here somewhere if your dead set on finding one thats trusted by others) once installed open the app and press the grind button. You will most likely get a popup saying your device isnt natively supported. Just press the force root button. Your phone should be restarted after its done.

Once your phone starts back up go to the playstore and download supersu by chainsfire. Open it and you will be prompted to update. Press the normal update button and wait for it to update, in the mean time go ahead and get some root tools from the playstore. I reccomend root browser, and a backup tool such as titanium backup. Also grab rootchecker as this is how we will verify root.

Once supersu updates restart the phone again. (Reccomended by supersu's distributer) then open your root checker. You should get a popup asking you to grant rootchecker root access. If you get the popup congratulations you have rooted your device.

After this delete stumproot from your device. (Again reccomended by apps distributer) and set up your back up.you can find several guides on this topic depending on your chosen backup manager. Remember some managers can flash roms and/or do other actions that could brick the phone if not done properly so make sure to read any/all instructions carefully.

This method has been personally tested and confirmed on my optimus. Lg ls720ZV8. this can be checked on your phones settings > phone information/about phone > software information > software version if your not sure what yours is.

Note tho my device runs on virgin mobile this method should work on a wide veriety of optimus devices and carriers.

I have this issue with my lg v900 i found update.zip lgv900.zip files with the android but i have this issue with fastboot on cmd..
if there is someone who can suggest me a way out and restore my lg v900 i ll be thankful.

[Q] LG optimus L5 problem topic

Hello guys, need some assistance on this one.
I accidentally formatted my sd card and I am now stuck in ClockworkMod recovery v6.0.2.8, with no operating system and to backup to recover to.
I tried installing a ROM from external sd card but i get the error No files found. Note: I formatted the card to fat32
I tried pushing a ROM to sd card with no success, when using the push command i just get the list of available commands for adb.
Any ideas on how to install a rom?

I was trying to insall a rom on my lg e430 (optimus l3 II ).... I unlocked the bootloader and i installed the rom correctly ... and after that i finished ....my phone reboots .. and it won't to power on it stucks on the logo of lg ......
i tried to flash the firmware .... but my pc can't recognize my device .... even that i installed all the drivers it won't to recognize the device .. and i can't acces to recovery mode or the boot loader .....
please help me to fix my phone !!

Looking for working APX drivers for Optimus 4x HD topic

Where can i find the APX drivers for this phone since i can't flash anything in S/W update mode but i also can still use it as a APX device. I found a APX driver on the forum but that isn't for this phone.

I stumbled across the web site that suggests that a Lollipop ROM upgrade can be downloaded for the LG Optimus Pad V900. Being that I have less than 10 posts, I cannot reference the page directly. If you currently do a google search for the following terms: lg optimus pad lollipop

The top ranked search result that has upgrade, lollipop and org in the link is the page that I am referring to. Three people apparently posted comments there in December 2014 suggesting that they were largely happy with the new ROM. However the web site's home, about us, and privacy policy links do not give related information which suggests that it may not be authentic. Also the wikipedia page for this LG device notes that closed drivers were an issue and I doubt that situation has changed. I am leery to try to attempt to download and load a ROM from a suspect source.

Any thoughts or comments as to the likely legitimacy (or not) of that site would be appreciated.
