When I try to replace framework-res.apk my phone reboots
My phone is fully rooted
How can I do this???
Is there anything extra I need to do

Hello!
I have recently bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note wcdma device
When device came he had a faulty updater so i've decided to update the firmware to the latest firm available (via recovery). Before and after the update the device had the same problems: random reboots and some app/sometimes froze the phone.
So i flashed a rom via fastboot with spflash. I had the same problems.
The curent version that i am using is Official Stable Multilanguage WCDMA MIUI v5 39.0.0
I got system freeze when i was trying to clean recent apps and when i played Shadow Fight 2.
In the last case was a softreboot that i have succesfully catched in a logcat.

[Q] Note 3 reboots when (un)installing an app topic

Hi

I am facing an issue since some time : each time I want to install and uninstall a software, my phone restarts after some time ; some times the app installed correctly, some others, it fails.
When I try to uninstall an app, it is a never ending process and then it restarts

Could you help me please ?

Random reboots and more topic

First off I'd like to say that I've already got the power switch replaced on this device. So I've ruled that out to some extent.

That being said, my device pretty much will freeze up at random times then either turn off or reboot. If it reboots, it will load the OS (or sometimes not even finish the boot), then either freeze up then reboot again, turn off, or freeze up and stay frozen for eternity. I've tried reverting to stock then reflashing all my **** and redownloading all my apps and stuff. While that helped for maybe, 3 days, it did not fix the issue. Also notable that this usually happens several times a day, and that sometimes leaving it on the charger helps it make a stable boot. I've also purchased a new battery with no luck. Not sure if this is related but figured it might be relevant that the device wakes randomly sometimes. This is not related to my specific ROM either, this happens on several pieces of firmware. Only cause I can think of is age (this model is almost 4 years old) or a faulty power switch (I've already had the switch replaced).

This has started to affect my schedule in that my phone loves to turn off when I'm sleeping so I miss my phone's alarm, which I highly depend on.

Completely unrelated issue but I'm on Sultan's Lollipop ROM and I can't download themes, apps, etc. The device gives me an error saying that the app/theme "failed to install". All of my current apps come from restoring /data from my 4.4.4 daily driver backup. Help with this would be very nice as well.

[Q] Xposed Causing reboots? topic

I'm not sure what the issue is with xposed but whenever the screen turns off sometimes the phone will completely reboot. It'll vibrate twice and then completely reboot. I have a log cat running in the background and after it reboots I check the log and before the reboot occurs it says system error and then XposedMainBridge. It doesn't just happpen with Firekat, it's happening with other TW Roms too. Does anyone else have the same issue. aswell? The modules I'm running are App Settings, Keepchat, No Lock Home, Snapshare, Wanam Xposed, and Xposed Torch

[Q] padfone sucks !!! RANDOM REBOOTS help topic

Hi ,I just bough the ( padfone X) from a dealer on eBay my issue is it keeps on rebooting randomly for no reason I had tried everything from factory reset it ,also running device on safe mode clearing cache uninstalling wallpapers or unwanted apps I didn't need ,but once I managed to keep it alive I guess by keeping the apex launcher running in memory approximately for 3 days. was running smoothly no reboots happy until one day I was playing a game and suddenly just out of no where it restarted again ,and same problem returned. I tried to do the last same trick and no use. it kept on restarting(force rebooting) every 30-20 minutes ,also got little overheating not too hot but warm !!

setup further info *no rooting *AT&T unlocked *using nova(phone) ,apex(station) with the padfone launcher app a padfone thing *used for 2 weeks only *running on kitkat 4.4.2

padfone is awesome device I love it unfortunately still a messy device to handle . ANY HELP !!!:confused:

my CM-11 boots up, freezes after 15 seconds then reboots topic

Using SGH-T989.

After flashing CM-11, the system boots up.
1. Then after a few seconds, it reboots
2. Then it performs an "android upgrade" and optimizes from 1 to 111 apps
3. Steps #1 and #2 repeat themselves over and over.

I've tried following guides on how to correctly implement this custom rom from multiple web sites and I keep getting the same results.

I've tried using CWM 6.0.3.7
I've tried using CWM 6.0.4.3 as well.
I tried installing the kernel mentioned on this web site
I've tried to do a Wipe /data, /cache, and /system.

I ended up restoring the backup of my stock ROM, which works fine.

Any thoughts?

[Q] G3 reboots with external sd topic

So I made an XML edit to allow the read/write on external SD.

My problem now is that every time I put the external in, the phone locks up and reboots. Was using the external sd just fine before that so figured I'd just put the old xml back but it didn't fix my problem..

Tried so far:
Clear caches
Fix permission
Restore backup

Any idea?

Random reboots topic

Im about to buy a s5 att. And my friend told me that the s5 has random reboots every 20 minutes or every hour. Sometimes they can be every 4hrs. We dont know exactly what can be. We are in mexico so theres no garanty. We need to go to the states and thats 14hrs away from here. the s5 isnt rooted or ever flashed. I wonder if i do root and clean flash a new rom could that issue be solved? Or need new s5

everything was ok till 22 december build...it started from 27 december build
earlier every lollipop rom worked fine on my n7100.
i dirty flashed 27 december build on 22 december build..it started rebooting randomly.
i wiped everything and flashed again it also showed same error and the rom was rebooting as soon as the screen turns off
after that i have tried every lollipop rom out there even every build of cyanogenmod 12 but it is showing same problem and rom in unusable. I was also using agni kernel on that rom and titanium backup. The phone reboots as soon as the screen turns off and the cyanogenmod logo appears. I have also tried wiping internal storage 3 times but no success.
I seriously want to use 5.0.2. Came from dn4 which worked awesome. using TWRP 2.8.4.0 Earlier i also used multirom twrp when everything was working fine.

Random Reboots topic

Note 4 has been randomly rebooting lately. Just today it's happened at least 3-4 times randomly throughout the day, even when I wasn't using the phone. Is there any way to pinpoint what exactly is causing the random reboots?

[Q] Random reboots at about 30% battery life topic

Hi there,

I've got a little problem with my phone recently. It keeps freezing/shutting down every time the battery life hits about 30%. The button light starts to flicker, music begins to stutter and then - a few seconds later - my device turns of or just freezes leaving the screen turned on. When I reboot my phone the battery life drops to 0% or remains at about 30%, that differs from time to time.
I tried everything, installing 4.4.4 and 5.0.2 CM, with and without apps installed, with and without gapps. All constellations result in the same behaviour. I just can't figure out what the problem is. I pulled two logcats (4.4.4 and 5.0.3) and attached them to this post. I begin to believe that it is a hardware related (battery) problem, but perhaps somebody can find something in the logcats, that I've overseen.
