Hello, I've been Download and Install theme (include icon pack). but after apply that theme, there is nothing change the Icon in my Home screen. then, The Devices has been root.
why??

please help me.

how to tell if u have GPE or Xperia Z ultra? topic

Does the GPE have the Xperia logo on the bottom backing of the phone? I purchased this off of someone off Craigslist and he said it was the GPE phone. I am just wanting to make sure, it had a custom ROM on it when I got it, Candy Kat 4.4.4. If the logo doesn't make the difference then what does?

[Q] SMART TV ANDROID - TCL 55" 4K Ultra - How to ROOT topic

Hi Guys and Gals, I am new to the forums so please bear with me.
I just got a 4K TV with Android and I can't install Google play and any other .apk's on it. The stock browser does not allow downloads of this type. Accessing Google play on the browser works but no downloads/installation.
Side loading is a problem too for the media browser is limited only to Audio/Video/Images.
The stock "App Store" has limited apps and no other similar apps for web browsing, basically a walled garden.

My first question is, how can I install apk's on a seemingly limited android interface.? As I see it, I have 2 options:
1. "ROOT" it? - How would one go about rooting if I can't access anything.
2. Change the stock Android into a full fledged Android OS - How do I do this?

2nd Question, Is there a dedicated group that Hacks/Roots SMART TV Android interfaces? If so, can someone direct me to that forum or site? I've searched the forums and I've only encountered Hacking and rooting Android TV dongles/boxes and nothing on SMART TVs android interfaces.

I hope you guys could help me out. I really dislike "walled gardens" and would like to be able to utilize the full potential of this Flat screen.

Help needed! How to root a cracked screen Z Ultra? topic

Hi,
My Z Ultra's screen is cracked and i would like to use it for my TV as a Andriod-Box replacement, because it's actually still usable i think. Now my Problem isn't finding a suitable Rom(i think), general knowsledge about rooting.
I think i got all the needed tools like a microsoft bluetooth keyboard with touchpad(regular usb mouse and keyboard too if needed), a MHL/USB(all-in-one) OTG adapter, HDMI cable and the universal USB micro to usb adaptercable.

SO my questions are:
1) Can i root without actived USB Debugging? (i can't activate it due to the cracked screen) ...Most important!
2) Is Towelroot still good? Or are there other easy root methods for newbs?
3) anything else i might have forgotten?
4) i think that a Sony Companion free system is usefull for Flashtool or am i wrong?

I have CM12 in my phone but in Lollipop is a big sound issue, and i Missing much features for Multimedia i have a list what a perfect Rom must have for me:

Stable Rom
Good Sound with no issues
No Lollipop in time because i HATE this sound issue and this is in much Lollipop Roms
Please KitKat 4.4.2-4.4.4
Much configurations
Good design
And good for Multimedia Activities

Is there a fix for screen ghosting (random touch input) for a ZU? Mine often goes crazy if i have warm hands and come near to my device whith them. Same happens if i breath a little bit on the display.

Water marks are white and the device has Root + Locked bootloader

[Q] Prestigio Multipad 4 Ultra Quad 8.0 3G OverClock or Custom ROM topic

Hi Everybody,

I'm lucky to have a PMP7280C 3G QUAD Tablet, because it's price/performance(value) is very good. Quad core at 1,2 GHz with 1 G ram. WARNING: It is freaking lack of rom customization: Hard to be rooted, have ever not found a custom rom or an overclock option. Ive managed at last to root it with the vroot method. BUT, I cannot overclock it (It would bear it) There are no custom roms, even not Cyanogen. My Android knowledge level is maximum at a semi power user or less :) so I cannot edit kernel and things like that. If there is a description, how to install a rom or recovery mode, I can do it. I have searched for descriptions such as, but haven't find one. I'm 99% sure, that this factory kernel does not support overclock. But where is a kernel does for this cpu? It is MT8389 but as I see it's equal to MT6589 (in the instruction sets and other hardware specs except clock speed so tuning is the same might be).

Please if anyone can help to find a working kernel or custom rom for this device, let me know. This hardware could be much better if it could be overclocked or customized in the rom. Factory rom is old and has lot of useless apps and feats.

Ultra Power Saving Mode topic

I'm curious why our device does not have an Ultra Power Saving Mode like one found on the HTC One M8 or the Galaxy S5. I know that both the Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8 have the snapdragon 801 chipset which allows for better battery saving (hence the ULTRA battery saving) but why does our device not have one? Will LG be making a ultra power saving mode for us? I know our device has a power saving mode but its not like the one on the Galaxy S5 or the HTC One M8.

Why doesn't our device have one, even though our device is capable of ULTRA battery saving mode (because we too have the Snapdragon 801 processor)?

Thoughts? Maybe we'll get it with the lollipop update?
