So today I finally got my phone back from repair, but now the mic doesn't work anymore.. I called a friend of mine but he couldn't hear me,
called 2 others and after that my telephone at home: always no mic, they can only hear me when I turn on the speakers. Same goes for the stock voice recorder app, no microphone.
Yet it works in whatsapp, does WA use another microphone, same goes for calling with speakers on: does the phone have 2 mics? Also when I shout like veeery loud into the microphone and record it, I can hear it, but only when I shout directly in it.
I read that I should use a air cannon thingy (dunno what it's called) to blow the dirt out of the mic, but I don't think that it is full of dirt after the repair.. Any help is appreciated, if nothing works I'll
send it back to repair :crying:

Hello, I wanna build an app that will allow me to communicate with whatsapp.

I know that there are some reverse engineered WhatsApp libraries out there and I was wondering if anyone had experience using them with android apps?
I need to be able to send and receive the messages if thats possible.

Notifications: WhatsApp &amp; gmail delay topic

I need help to fix WhatsApp & gmail. I don't get notifications until when I open the app.
Viber & GoSMS Pro work fine (I think).
I disinstalled & reinstalled already 10 times, both WhatsApp and gmail.
I disinstalled also greenify and clean master.
Nothing! Still not getting notifications!
WhatsApp tech support are real morons, they refuse to help because my device is rooted!
Anyway, I did EVERYTHING listed in the WhatsApp debug faq including installing PNF.
When I open PNF, and I open play services monitor, if I click connect all delayed notifications are notified.
I do NOT have gtalk installed.

Greetings developers,
I have just installed CM12 (Lollipop 5.0.2) with GAPPS. My previous rom was TWR8 (Stock Based)
FolderMount was working fine when i created a link for
emulated/0/sdcard/WhatsApp (internal memory) to
emulated/extCard/WhatsApp (external memory)
it was working fine before but when i installed CM12 and try to mount my folders again using FolderMount i got no luck.
It fails everytime when i try to make or turn the link lock.
What could be wrong? Any help? Or Any app that can do it in a better way?

Cons of WhatsApp Web client! Am I the only one? topic

WhatsApp is finally got a web client after being demanded by many users in years. But there are still some limitations when I try it.

1. Needs the phone to be around, connected to the network, and turned on
The service works by visiting WhatsApp web page and scanning the QR code with WhatsApp mobile app. But what if my phone is not around? Seems not any solution for this.
And after connecting to WhatsApp web client, I need to keep my phone connected to a network and make sure the battery isn’t dead. Or the WhatsApp web client will go offline.

2. Only supports a single browser
It’s a little upset and disappointing that WhatsApp team choose to let us use WhatsApp web client on Google Chrome only. You’re out of luck if you prefer using Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera or Internet Explorer.

3. iOS users have no chance to use it
According to WhatsApp team, they are unable to provide web client to WhatsApp iOS users due to Apple platform limitations. Therefore, if you are using WhatsApp on an iPhone, you still need to turn to your phone when you receive or want to send a WhatsApp message, though the phone is just next to your computer.

4. Some mobile features are not available on WhatsApp web version
Block users, create or leave group, send broadcast messages, send videos, etc. are not supported on WhatsApp web client yet. It’s somewhat inconvenient when trying to block some spam accounts on web client, or anything else that can easily be done on mobile app.

Anyway, it’s exciting to see WhatsApp team finally step out and break the restrictions! But there are some apps that can do much better than WhatsApp web client now. I personally use AirDroid before WhatsApp team release the web client and will keep using it unless WhatsApp web client gets improvements. The AirMirror feature of AirDoid is a little bit laggy but I can control the whole WhatsApp app on computer!

How do you guys think? Any alternatives of WhatsApp web clients?

Videos sent through whatsapp sound is unsynced topic

Hi,

When im sending a video through whatsapp the sound is mostly out of sync.
I never had this problem on my iphone, and i couldn't find any troubleshooting for this online.
Im using the stock version and not a fancy rom or anything.

Any ideas what could be causing this?
