[Q] Video Playback Issues.. topic

After receiving the latest update, I can no longer playback videos on certain applications. One is Lapse It Pro and can't view videos on Twitter or Vine..

If any of you know a fix or why I can't play videos, let me know por favor!

[Q] Sound and Video Problem topic

Hello~ >.< So I'm not really sure how to explain this problem much as I don't understand its origin, but I have been having a problem with my sound and video.
I don't really use my tablet for much except watching shows from apps like Viki, Hulu, Netflix, and YouTube, and I don't travel with it. Starting yesterday my sound began to act very weird... I had been on Netflix when I first noticed it and for some reason all of the voices were unusually deep. I had turned on my computer to check if it was just that video, but on my computer everything was normal. I tried to restart my tablet and then a new problem came up. Not only were my videos now producing no sound, but they also we're playing VERY fast.. what was supposed to be a 15 second ad became 2 according to the timer. Thinking again that it may just be Netflix, I tried other apps like Hulu for example. With Hulu, the video wouldn't really load at all. It played the ad as mentioned above, but when the video came up, the screen remained black and silent before telling me that Hulu has crashed. I tried this a few times, but no luck. Thinking over the possibility that the speaker blew out, I tried using three different types of headphones, and tried all of my apps again, but still nothing. I previously had looked up this problem, but I could not find a matching thread so I decided that whatever happened could be fixed by a factory reset, which I tried, but to just my luck, it did nothing.. again. Hoping it would just go away, I also tried leaving it alone for awhile x.x which was almost a given to not work... and now I'm completely out of ideas :/ Has anyone else experienced an issue like this and would know any way I could fix it? If possibly I'd really like to know how as I do not have the budget to buy a new one at the moment >.< If any additional information is required, please feel free to ask.

Edit: Also forgot to mention that my notification sound has stopped too >_< All volume is set a bit over half..

What Video Recording app are you using? topic

I'm currently using the Cinema Fv 5 but it stutters while recording video 4k, 1080p and etc. I've used the stock camera which has a problem with focusing.

I love the Cinema Fv 5 app just wish it didn't have lag or stutter

Video Player for external drive topic

I have a bunch of video files loaded on an external drive. Is there a player that will load from the external drive and play the video file? RIght now the only way i figured out how to play them is to load of ES File exporer and browse to the drive. Is there a simpler way where i can open a video manager and the files are right there like in plex?

Open any root explorer (es file explorer preferred )

and navigate to /data/data/com.whatsapp/shared_prefs/com.whatsapp_preferences.xml

Add these 2 lines anywhere in the file but within the <map></map> and save

<boolean name="call" value="true" /> <string name="call_allowed">all</string>

now force stop WhatsApp and open it again .... and you are done ;)

[Q] Best video recording app? topic

Hey all,

Sorry if this has came up before - given what the question is it wouldn't surprise me if it had!

Does anyone know what the, generally accepted as, best video recording app for our phones are? After coming from iOS, the camera functions are the only part of the phone that I'm finding it hard to match the iPhone.

I generally take a lot of videos and edit them. Mini-movies aren't aren't at all uncommon for me to film.

Whilst I'm still using my iPad for editing the films (iMovie and so on), I'm anxious to continue to use (and enjoy doing so) my S4 for video recording. My old 5S shot incredible video and even at lower resolution settings the output was generally smoother than the S4 shoots at the same settings.

If I'm stuck with the quality of the video recordings, that's fine and I'll make do. I would just prefer to find an app that can shoot at higher than stock bit rate etc and give me as many options (or close to) that the apps on iOS offers. I came to android as I absolutely LOVE using lollipop and the way it works is brilliant, so as said if I need to continue as I am that's fine. If it helps I'm using GPE 5.0.1 at the moment. Please not I'm not looking to start an iOS vs android discussion, just looking to find out what options I may or may not have and what I might be missing in the Play Store.

I have a problem when recording videos at night.

When photographing in dim picture is visible (with noise :D ), but when I start shooting, the picture darkens considerably and there is almost nothing to see.
I attach the screen when taking pictures and taking pictures during recording.

What could it be?

Video record button in camera app topic

I noticed that on my friends M8 there is a video record button along with the
Picture shutter button. It is placed right below the picture shutter button as shown in my attachment.

Is this possible to get on the one mini 2? My one s had this as default and I really miss it.

[Q] Video (strange) blurry lines ? topic

When I make a video in 4k or 1920p when the phone shakes blurry lines appear on video.For instance i tried to make video while riding a bike (with a tripod mounted on the bike) but the video went extremely blurry and it was just crap.Has this something to do with the OIS ir what?I have attached pictures.

When I plug in my phone to my comp. 64 i5 Toshiba. All folders show up but when I open downloads the movies folders are empty. Many in different formats nothing unusual. Then I open downloads on phone and they play nice.. help would be appreciated. Thnx

Summary:
Sometimes white pixels are rendered as black on 10 bit depth video on MX Player.
8 bit depth video works fine on MX Player.
I attached a sample video file.
The file works fine on VLC player on Windows / Linux, but doesn't on MX Player on Android.

I created the video from Japanese TV animation using following command. (Note: most of arguments are not necessary to reproduce)
$ ffmpeg -i japanese_anime.ts -ss 3.5 -t 1 -filter:v crop=32:16:560:190 -vcodec libx264 -an -crf 18 sample.mp4
libx264 is built with --bit-depth=10 configuration.
I tested libx265 with 10 bit depth configuration, and the output file also has a same problem.
I created this bug report with Nexus 7 (2013). I tested Nexus 5 and Galaxy S4 and they are also reproducible.

Encoder environment is here.
- Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
- libx264 snapshot of 2014-11-29
- libx265 1.4+433 2015-01-26
- ffmpeg 2.5.2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download the attached sample video file.
2. Play it on MX Player on Android with S/W decoder.

[Q] Crash on Video Playback after Flashing AOKP topic

Hi everyone,

I recently flashed the 2014-10-18 Kit Kat nightly on my N9005 using TWRP, and believed the process to have gone well. However, whenever I attempted to playback video using MX Player or VLC, the phone reboots to the AOKP boot animation. Additionally, when listening to long podcasts and the like, I begin to hear a muffled/noisy sound after five or so minutes, which, upon rewinding, disappears and then reappears in a couple of minutes. My largest concern is very much the lack of video playback.

Should I attempt to reflash the same ROM, flash a different ROM, or is there something that I can do to perhaps fix these problems?

Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

[Q] Video Camera Issue On YU Yureka topic

Dear All,
I am facing problem with the video recorder on my yureka that is whenever i try to start the video cam it hangs the device for 10-15 seconds and then it shows error "Camera is not responding" with force close/wait option. Is there anyone else facing same issue
