Hey guys. Just got a G2 and I haven't really messed around with rooting or custom roms in a few years. I was wondering if it's possible to root and load a custom on this phone? I just got one earlier today, it has the latest OTA and it seems like a good phone so far. Is there a definitive guide or thread somewhere? I took a look and I'm not fully understanding all the terminology. Thanks!

Greetings! My One X was running a stable release of CM 11 with no issues whatsoever. I forgot to charge it a few days ago and it won't turn on ever since. I tried charging it for a full day a few times, tried different chargers, USB cables, tried connecting it to my PC, tried entering the boot loader, nothing happened. Everything was working perfectly fine until the battery died and the phone hasn't been in contact with any liquids and harmful substances, neither has it been dropped in recent weeks. I honestly have no idea what's wrong, would really appreciate it if someone more knowledgeable would suggest what the real issue is.

Hello, i've just got a couple questions about Android itself and a device I recently bought.

Today I got a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 for the sole purpose of using it for study, I also bought a case/keyboard it. I also have a Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A. I'm wondering if there's a way for the two devices to "talk" together at all. I am also wondering on the tablet how to get rid of the "Quick Connect" option which is next to "S Finder" in the pull down menu from the top of the screen. I'm still somewhat new to Android, so any general tips would be great too. I've removed some bloatware from both of my android devices themselves, such as all of the Samsung pre-installed software.

Also any recommended apps too would be great and also some tips on how to use my tablet and get the most out of it. I've been a desktop computer person my whole life and I've built a few too, I just felt like a new change and I want to make the most out of it. I apologise if this is the wrong area to post in, it's just I have no idea where to ask for help.

Bought a Fire TV from Best Buy today on a whim, and was pleasantly surprised to discover it came with version 51.1.1.0_user_511069920 installed, so I was able to downgrade and root! :cool:

I did my research and was pretty sure it would have come with something newer, I guess these guys don't move very fast at Best Buy, lol.

This thing blows my AppleTV 2 out of the water in terms of performance, specifically XBMC. :good:

[Q] Vodafone to O2 - Just Change ROM? topic

I have an N7100 that was 'born' as a UK Vodafone device. Since then I've rooted and tried lots of different ROMs etc. I've now got a Note 4 on upgrade, and the Vodafone store said that my device wasn't locked (they said the status was neither locked or unlocked - maybe because I've rooted/Rom's it before?)

I'm now selling this to a friend who has an O2 sim.

If I download the stock N7100 O2 ROM from SamMobile and install via ODIN, will this work? As in, is there anything wrong with doing this?

He wants a stock ROM, but will root it for him anyway. I don't think he's interested in a 'custom' ROM even if it's just a stock ROM with the junk removed.

Any help appreciated.

Hey guys, i'm having some SERIOUS problems with my 1st generation moto g XT1033.

Some days ago, i flashed stock android 5.0. Alright... So, i discovered that that were cm12 nightlies on the official cyanogenmod site and i flashed it. So, just after that i discovered that dual sim wasn't ported yet so i tried to change to stock 5.0, but my phone entered in a boot loop so i flashed stock 4.4.4, with no luck... now i flashed 5.0 but it's still not booting, i am now thinking about going back to CM12, which already have dual sim... the problem is that i dont know why, TWRP MTP isn't working, so now i just cant pass the CM12 zip to the phone because of that. please i need help i dont know what to do, if there's some way to flashing it without using TWRP's MTP. Thanks a lot and sorry about the english :P

Really couple of quick questions... I have read the tutorials on flashing stock firmwares, I have got all the software downloaded (Xperifirm and Flashtool). I just want to debrand my phone (i.e. no O2 apps and no O2 boot screen).

I have picked out the Customized UK Unbranded firmware 23.0..1.A.5.77.
My current firmware is O2 Pay monthly UK 23.0.1.A.5.77

Does anyone see any forseeable issues with what I am about to do? First time flasher of Xperia phones - I have been a Samsung shill for far too long!

Hi all !

It all started a week or so ago... I'm working with the transformer and it just turns itself off... At first I thought it could be the battery, so i charged it, but still no luck...

The prime reports the battery at 100% . The time it takes from start until it turns off isn't always the same.. I could be working for 5 m or for 30 m...

The funny thing is, when it starts again, the time and date is reset to 01/01/2000 and the time to 00:00 !

What's going on ? What is happening ?

I've already performed a factory defaults and installed a new ROM (I was with Androwook HairyBean v2.31) and now with Stock 10.4.2.18 - Light/Rooted/Odexed V5, but nonetheless, the problem persists...

Just lost half of the pictures moving from on-board to SD topic

It is running CM 10.2.0-skyrocket and I just wanted to make some room on the phone for my senior mom by moving pictures to SD card and to my surprise half the pictures, if not more, is just a pixelized mess or just gray box.

Is there a way to recover the original pictures on-board storage?
