I know this is probably way off topic and this forum might not even be the best place to ask but before I venture to unknown forums I wanted to start at home! :) I'm not sure if SQL is best to perform the task at hand or maybe a batch or Python script to run the SQL. Just looking for your thoughts and any ideas are much appreciated! Below is what I'm looking to do. Let me know if you need additional info to get me the best response! :)

We have an existing Database that is continuously being updated. What I need to do is run a Query, daily, and email the results to a particular email address. Each day I want the script to grab only the top 15 results. It would need to sorted by Due Date. We have a column for Completed but it doesn't need to show in the report but I would imagine that I need it in the query so the results can be updated each day. Out of all the columns in the DB I only need to Query about 6 and display in the results all 6 besides the Completed column.

If possible, I'd like the email to include the results in HTML format rather than an attachment. Thanks in advance for you help all! :)

Bought a Fire TV from Best Buy today on a whim, and was pleasantly surprised to discover it came with version 51.1.1.0_user_511069920 installed, so I was able to downgrade and root! :cool:

I did my research and was pretty sure it would have come with something newer, I guess these guys don't move very fast at Best Buy, lol.

This thing blows my AppleTV 2 out of the water in terms of performance, specifically XBMC. :good:

Running apps for Gear S topic

I'm sure that some of us are runners who chose to get the Gear S so that we don't need to carry a smartphone when we go for a run. I've observed that there is some confusion regarding the fitness/running apps that are available for the Gear S. For example, the Samsung S Health app has a "running" mode that allows you to use the built-in GPS (outdoors) and built-in HR sensor on the Gear S while it's on standalone mode. But, this app won't track your pace when you're running indoor on a treadmill.

The Nike+ app can also use the built-in GPS to provide speed/distance information. The Nike+ app seems to be the only app so far that uses the built-in sensor found in the Gear S to estimate your speed when you're on a treadmill. I can't seem to find a way to calibrate this function. Also, I can't seem to find a way to get the Nike+ app to use the built-in HR monitor when I'm running.

Other apps like MapMyRun and Endomondo are simply "companion" apps that require that you run the app on the phone and the Gear S simply becomes an extension of the screen. Users who expect these apps to run in standalone mode (not paired to phone) will be disappointed.

Why can't we get a standalone running app for the Gear S that uses the built-in GPS (outdoor), the built-in sensor to track pace when you're running on a treadmill, and use the built-in HR sensor? Neither the S Health nor the Nike+ does all of that together.

Recently I my Vodafone Simcard from my LG Optimus L3 has become unusable. Now I wanted to get another Simcard, but the Phone does not seem to be simlockfree.

Now is my question: How to get my LG Optimus L3 to accept another (Vodafone) Simcard? Vodafone has protection against multiple cards from the same provider; meaning that the other Vodafone Simcard won't work in it.

The Phone is running Cyanoid 15.4 SDMerge.
Dial 2945#*400#: The message: No network available comes up. Same with other dial numbers. No lock menu as I see in videos on YouTube.

[HELP] No touch sensitivity while running games on S4-I9505 topic

Basically when I enter a game I'm stuck in its menu because my touch won't work.
This happens for games only with larger size, like Max payne, GTA vice city, spider man 2.
Otherwise my phone is perfect and I do not experience these touch issues with smaller sized games like smash it, bomb squad.
I did my research and not able to find a solution.
Please help!

Running multiple versions of a app/simulating screen prompting topic

Id like to run 2 versions of a app is this possible? Id love to do this is a unrooted scenario but if its not possible my phones can be rooted.

My second question is how easy/safe would it be to simulate a button press externally? Looking for creative ideas here I need to hit a prompt once a hour on my phone. I dont want to use internal apps because im pretty sure those will get noticed.

I'm developing an udp server on Android, it is a sort of messages dispatcher from clients to masters (namely servers) and vice-versa. It consists on three separated threads launched by a foreground service and every thread has MAX_PRIORITY flag set.
The problem is that the OS suspends threads and on certain devices i receive this message:

Is there a way to prevent thread suspension by the OS?

NOTE: This app is for developing puropose, it will not be released in store. We need to have an UDP server always running without suspensions.

Bricked Phone after running Casual R527. Help! topic

As the title suggests, I done messed up. I followed the instructions in a post on AndroidRootz.com (I would post the URL but it says new users cant post links). I ran Casual R527, and after reboot my phone will only load to odin Mode, which displays the Green Android logo and says "Downloading... Do not turn off target!!". Just for some back story, my phone was rooted prior to trying to run casual and was running KitKat 4.4.4.

Did I destroy my phone forever, or is there a way to fix this?

I've really been enjoying my HTC One M7 since converting it to full Google Edition (GE). I really didn't want an M8, since I'm fine with my M7. I was hoping the M9 would have a Google Edition, but it does not seem that will be happening. All Google Edition devices have been discontinued.

So I'm thinking, I may just wait till later this year, for whatever new Nexus phone drops and get it. I'm really preferring vanilla Android, but will miss the IR Blaster and other special features of the HTC One line.

What do you plan to do?
