[Q] Is this normal? topic

I am a new Z3 owner (D6603, rooted, locked BL on 23.0.1.A.5.77) coming from a long list of Samsung devices. I've noticed two small things that bug me and wanted to ask if these are normal.

The first thing is, for lack of a better word, keeping apps in the background. For instance, if I am in the twitter app, click on a link to a story which opens in Chrome, then share the story via email by way of chrome's share function, it then opens my email app. When I'm done sending the email and hit the back button, instead of taking me back to Chrome, it returns me to the home screen. This is different than every other Samsung device I have. Those will return me to chrome, then hitting the back button again returns me to twitter app. Basically it reverses the complete path. I'll admit this might seem silly but given my normal workflow of going from app to app, returning on the same path is important. Is there some setting on the Z3 that I need to set to enable this behavior?

The second has to do with notifications. If I have multiple notifications, as expected, the icons for each notification appear in the notification bar when the notification window is collapsed, but as soon as I click on any one of the notifications, the icons disappear from the collapsed notification bar. If I expand the notification bar, all the notifications are still there, but the icons don't show when the notification bar is collapsed. Is this normal for the Z3?

Thank you in advance for your help!

adb commands not working in fastboot mode. Is it normal? topic

I was trying to flash a custom ROM on my moto g xt1033. I used choosing the zip from USB otg after wiping and formatting everyrhing but. It flashed but a black screen came instead of cm logo and I was stuck at welcome to cm screen without touchscreen working. http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto...4#post58587594

Then I tried side loading or pushing method. But problem is adb commands are not working in fastboot mode. They are working when phone is switched on. (Adb devices show serial number and device in normal mode) Fastboot commands are working fine in fastboot mode but not adb. When I type adb devices in fastboot mode there is nothing after list of device attached. So adb push or adb side load give me waiting for device or device not found result. Is it normal. Earlier I have latest Motorola device manager and latest android SDK. Tried uninstalling and installing them, tried changing USB ports, tried rebooting the phone and restarting windows pc several times but still no luck.!!

What device do I have? Normal developer edition topic

I have the Black and white developer edition that's GSM. Currently I have never unlocked it and put another rom on it but want to now. The issue I have is I am having trouble knowing which device type it is.

In the cyanogenmod docs it says it can be moto_msm8960dt or ghost. The ghost stuff is a lot more up to date.

[Q] My battery gets extremely hot is this normal topic

Hello I just upgraded from the droid maxx to the droid turbo and I love this phone bit for some reason whenever I do any sort of thing on it. The CPU gets extremely hot. According to my pjone y CPU has reached all the way to 139°f and right now I am only using the internet and it has gone from 90°f to 134°f. Is this normal? I can understand if I am using a lot of apps at one time but I am only using the internet and it keeps getting hotter and the app I am using to check my CPU temputure says that at this tempurture it can damage my phone. Should I take it in to have it looked at?

How much "miscellaneous" battery drain is normal after google fixed the lollipop bug? topic

I've read about the initial bug in lollipop causing high battery drain under the entry "miscellaneous". I'm using a 5.0.2 rom (as far as I've understood from the information about it) so the bug should be fixed. Yet I'm seeing quite some battery drain going to this "miscelanous" entry. Right now it's 9%, screen is first at 10% but I still feel 9% sounds like quite a lot or is this correct? What's "normal" here?
