I've found this on Youtube and it was used for another tablet. Apparently , it installs Windows 8 on an Android tablet and someone could back up the Android partition in case said person wanted to get back to Android.

Just got a gift of a friend, it's an s5 and looks very good, my friend didn't know exactly what he does but when turning on the phone I got 2 lines and after a few minutes got in the screen that you can see in the photo attached, I run Odin and the factory firmware but it fails, dont know what else to try, I'm in Ecuador so there's no warranty that i can use from here, hope anyone can help, thanks. Maybe do you know if a box that usually uses the phone technician can work?

[Q] Is this normal? topic

I am a new Z3 owner (D6603, rooted, locked BL on 23.0.1.A.5.77) coming from a long list of Samsung devices. I've noticed two small things that bug me and wanted to ask if these are normal.

The first thing is, for lack of a better word, keeping apps in the background. For instance, if I am in the twitter app, click on a link to a story which opens in Chrome, then share the story via email by way of chrome's share function, it then opens my email app. When I'm done sending the email and hit the back button, instead of taking me back to Chrome, it returns me to the home screen. This is different than every other Samsung device I have. Those will return me to chrome, then hitting the back button again returns me to twitter app. Basically it reverses the complete path. I'll admit this might seem silly but given my normal workflow of going from app to app, returning on the same path is important. Is there some setting on the Z3 that I need to set to enable this behavior?

The second has to do with notifications. If I have multiple notifications, as expected, the icons for each notification appear in the notification bar when the notification window is collapsed, but as soon as I click on any one of the notifications, the icons disappear from the collapsed notification bar. If I expand the notification bar, all the notifications are still there, but the icons don't show when the notification bar is collapsed. Is this normal for the Z3?

[Q] Is this what's known as "bricked"? topic

A while ago my phone started to restart itself for no good reason. Then it got worse and it starts randomly resetting itself (factory reset). To solve this issue I tried to do a manual factory reset myself, and the problem persisted.

I can deal with these random restarts, but then one day as it restarts it got stuck at the "Samsung Galaxy S3" screen. I tried to do another factory reset in CWM and clear the cache, but it says "E:\cache\...." isn't mounted. As I investigate further it seems the reason that it can't boot might be because the memory is not mounted I guess?

I can boot into Download mode and CWM perfectly fine, so I decided to try to flash the Stock Recovery and Stock ROM through Odin. Connection between Odin and the phone was set up fine, but then it stopped at this error message "Complete(Write) operation failed." Flashing either stock rom and recovery yields the same error . It simply can't write to the memory it seems.

Now I'm stuck at this start screen. I've heard flashing a PIT file might be able to fix it, but I have no idea what that is.

Is the phone bricked? How do I fix this? Should I use the Rescue Firmware in this post? It would be great if anyone can help me since I have been asking for help on other forums but got absolutely no response...

Is this really it for 3200 mah? Really disappointed... Especially with stamina mode on. is there some kind of Sony bug I am missing? Really don't understand the point of stamina mode if she barely beats a old moto x

I was expecting more than 20 hours with 5 hours of sot minimum. that's my standard because my 2013 moto x was able to do that with no problem.

Is there something I am missing here?

I've had my phone since it was released, and until now I noticed that colorful line running across the bottom of my screen,also a small circle on the top left. It's more noticeable at that angle. I guess I never paid attention, since I put a screen protector on my phone as soon as I got it, and now that I took it off is when I noticed it. Does any body else have that anywhere on their screen? Should I exchange it? I would hate getting a refurbished phone! :(

Hello all,

First I want to express my appreciation for those who take the time to make ROMs for our TF201/300T tablets. Doing just this little task took 3 days of experimenting, I couldn't imagine debugging an entire ROM!

As some of you may know, people with broken touchscreens are getting replacements on eBay that are the wrong version, and are having reverse x-axis issues. The only way this was solved previously was to install Hairybean 2.31 which had the corrected driver and init script to activate it on the install. Unfortunately that meant that we with the wrong screens were stuck on Android 4.2, and what fun is that? ;)

I have figured out and created a new driver for the atmel_maxtouch which will allow you to turn on the reverse axis by echoing 1 to /sys/module/atmel_maxtouch/parameters/reverse_axis. For those without the reverse axis issue, you should be fine, as the reverse axis is only called by the command above.

There's a lot of great ROMs out there, and now those with the different screens can enjoy them too, and all you need is this driver and an init.d script.

Please let me know if you have any questions or need something debugged (though I am not a programmer, so how much I may be able to help will be limited :) ). The new atmel_maxtouch.c is attached in the zip.

Saw it on Reddit. Any way to figure out which carrier it is? Just to give an idea of how far in testing they may be. He said it's a US version with a snapdragon processor. I don't recognize the LTE symbol, but I rarely pay attention to those things.
