I am trying to improve my battery life on my Oneplus One. My max is 3-4 hours of screen on time. I am currently using Bliss Pop rom.

I used privacy to deny google services stuff but I notice no improvements.

Any advice will be appreciated.

[Q] Dialer Battery Drain topic

I have an HTC Droid DNA on Verizon running Android 4.4.2 (for a while now) and it's been pretty solid until about two weeks ago. All of a sudden it has started eating battery like mad, and the battery info says that the dialer or android system are the largest users of battery. I'm talking like full charge in the morning to dead by mid afternoon PLUGGED IN TO MY COMPUTER. I'm down 10% battery in the last 1.5 hours with the phone charging. The phone is in global mode, the location is set to "battery saving," I have good signal here (East Sacramento, Ca). I found some old threads on similar battery issues and read through them, tried what they recommended. I reset the cache partition first, no dice. I did a factory reset, and that seemed to work for a few days, but now the problem is back. I can't reset every few freaking days or my life will be a constant loop of reentering passwords. Could this be some sort of virus with a really good rootkit? I'm at my wit's end. Anybody know what this might be? I'd appreciate any help y'all can offer. Thanks.

Heh heh, this is what's going on:

I'm using my Note III as my audio player. I'm using the Temasek CM11 ROM, with the Zion Kernel.
I've customized the ROM for use as an audio player. I've removed many apps I don't need, including the Dialer and Contacts.
I have Airplane Mode engaged full-time, as I won't be needing a cellular signal, and Locations has been turned off full-time.
This device is nearly Google-free, save the Play Store. Google Play Services has been removed (I have me reasons!).

Now, theoretically, the phone should Deep Sleep forever right, especially when absolutely nothing is running?
My battery life was stellar right after I completed my setup. The phone would sleep for hours without dropping even 1%.
After the first recharge, the battery has changed gears, dropping up to 3% per hour. This is while the device is 'Deep Sleeping'.

I don't know what could be happening.

That brings me to a secondary question as to what happens after a phone is removed from the charger?
When I had Google Play Services on my device, Google Play Services would keep my device awake right after I remove it from the charger. Syncing my account would finally put the device to sleep.

What could be causing the drain on my Note 3?
And what runs after a device pulled from the charger?

Battery Drain topic

Hi,
almost everyday the battery on my S3 gets empty within 8h. I'm on stock ROM. The battery stat reports "OS Android (22%)" and "Google services (19%)" are eating the most battery. I already tried factory reset but after a while the battery drains again.
I would appreciate any help.

[Q] Battery drain and slow charging issue in Micromax Yureka topic

Hi android users,
I got a new micromax yureka and am having an issue of battery drainage from the very first day. I just installed few apps like whatsapp, facebook, mx player etc. Sometime later, I observed that my battery is discharging very soon. It seems like, can discharge from 100% to 0% in just 2-3 hours.

I checked the battery status and found that "Media Server" is listed on the top with 51%. For this, I did this:
Settings-> Apps ->All, select Media Storage & disable it. Clear data & reboot. Now enable it & reboot.

Now somewhat battery is discharging slowing but still results are not good. Also, mobile is charging very slowly. (Say <=20% in an hour). I googled other solutions for this problems, but none worked. Can anyone help me in this?
PS: My device is not rooted.

Hi guys hope someone can help. This is the first time I've rooted and flashed a custom ROM bootloader is unlocked and I'm running CyanogenMod 12-20150201 nightly all seems well except a few issues and as I'm new to this I'm not exactly sure what to do the Led light is extremely dim and I've noticed incredible battery drain are these issues just me or is it the nightly ROM cheers

Has anyone found a solution for this yet? This thing is draining my battery like crazy. Gets me at the most 2 hours screen on time (half of what I used to get on KK). Tried both CM12 and AICP and both have this same issue.

Here is a link to my battery stats - Cell Standby seems to be the biggest battery user when this Mobile Radio Active is going "nuts".

If I catch it early then reboot temporarily fixes the issue but if I don't then in a day's use this Mobile Radio Active can take up to 8-9 Hours of activity! Please help!

[Q] Battery Drain after Safestrap topic

Hi !
I installed SafeStrap on my Motorola RAZR XT910 to try CM11. It worked fine but battery started draining really fast. Before it lasted for 1 day or even more, and now it only lasts half day.
I removed CM11 and went back to Stock ROM (still with Safestrap) but didn't fix battery issues.
I also noted that battery indicator now only shows status from 10 to 10 (for example 100%, 90%, 80%, etc).

I bought a new battery and the problem is still here !!!

Is it possible that this problem is related with Safestrap? anyone had the same issue?

Battery drain with 3 wake locks topic

Im having big battery drain with those 3 wakelocks:
ril-fd,
powermanagerservice.wakelock,
bam_dmux_wakelock

I have 4% activity level with Wakelock detector which is better than 19% that I started with but still not perfect.
During the night I had "PhoneApp" draining 11% of my battery, it has vanished after reboot, will check it again tomorrow morning. Im gonna drop some print screens a bit later but can someone please help me with those 3 wakelocks?
I read on this forum that those wakelocks might be contected to Fast Dormancy but came to conclusion that its not present in 4.4.2 KitKat? is that true? If its not there maybe that the issue? is there a way of acquiring it?

I have the problem that Android OS is using too much energy, keeps the CPU running for at least twenty minutes per hour. I lose 2-3% per hour without doing something although i do not have any wakelocks (checked with BBS). What could i do to get the stunning battery of the one back? I am running stock rooted with franco r35.

i bought a teclast p79hd 3g but unfortunately it has a very big problem with battery drainage so much during standby i dont use sim card on it but it says cell standby near 75% battery draining of course the phone is in airplane mode . i want to find new rom for it where can i find this?

Recently I found the above alarm keeps draining my battery using "BetterBatteryStats" app, even it shows my phone is at 96% deep sleep. (Note: wifi, gps and bluetooth off, No SIM Card) I can assure that this "alarm" is the only culprit. Can I know what is it exactly?? And how to remove/disable it?? :confused: Kindly need help!!

I am causing battery drain after upgrading my phone to Android 5.0.2 - Nameless for Oppo Find 7.

My battery life shrinks from 2-3 days to 1.

I have actually mentioned much faster reaction, but battery life is on the edge of acceptance.

Do you have any idea, or similar experience?

LG G3 Custom ROm & Stock Rom ( Camera Apk, Battery Drain etc) topic

Hi everybody. I know there is many similar threats like mine but i after a big search iam confusded. i have bought my LG G3 D855 2 weeks ago. I am actually a big fan of Custom roms like CyanOgenMod but the problem is the Stock Rom of Lg G3 Has an awesome Camera Apk.. I was looking if there is a possibility to install A custom Rom and install the stock camera of Lg G3 . So far i found only for G2.. And Besides the camera there is a huge difference between stock and custom rom in LG G3.. In battery Drain and especially In the Ram management... I have the g3 with 2 GB Ram and it eats the 70-80 % . Any help an idea is appreciate .. Sorry for creating a threat which may already been created.

Abnormal battery drain topic

After installing lollipop OTA, I experienced battery drain, so I did a factory reset and the battery was better than ever. Now recently, for the past 3 days, the battery is awful. Doesn't even keep a charge for like 5 hours. Look at the screenshot. I am fed up of always doing factory resets, and I barely have any apps installed. This isn't normal. I have an SD card, I tried removing it for a day and I still experienced the same battery drain.

Battery drain issue topic

Hi, ever since my device was updated to Android 5.0 about a month ago I'm experiencing a significant decline in battery life.

Before the update, the battey usage level page under the device settings used to be quite stable and I would get up to 6 hours of screen on time a little before the battery was emptied. (With approximately 10% battery left)

Now, after the update, I get roughly about two and a half hours of screen on time and the graph on the battey usage level is falling steadily. I would note that according to observations I made with the cpu spy app the device is in deep sleep most of the time when I'm not using it. I'm running stock rom and without Root. The wifi or the data are active almost all the time (respectively), and the location setting is "battery saving". Sync with Google services partially works for services I need throughout the day.

Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance. :)

How much "miscellaneous" battery drain is normal after google fixed the lollipop bug? topic

I've read about the initial bug in lollipop causing high battery drain under the entry "miscellaneous". I'm using a 5.0.2 rom (as far as I've understood from the information about it) so the bug should be fixed. Yet I'm seeing quite some battery drain going to this "miscelanous" entry. Right now it's 9%, screen is first at 10% but I still feel 9% sounds like quite a lot or is this correct? What's "normal" here?
