[Q] Camera Movement topic

Does anyone else notice that after moving the camera and holding it still the image moves around for about 2 sec before stabilizing? I know it's not my hands because the amount of shift in the image is pretty large. I'm guessing this is related to the optical image stabilization but 2 sec seems very long. It noticeably helps my images to stay still until the movement stops before taking the picture.
