Quick question. AT&T Nexus 6 topic

So I have been a die hard Samsung guy since the beginning of Galaxy s. Today I decided to go with a nexus6 from at&t. I know zero about the phone and the Motorola **** tied to it. I am very familiar with odion and and using custom Roms and recoveries with my note phones. My general question is, will any ROM work on any nexus 6 or is it service provider depending...? Also if anyone could post a link to the best root method for the AT&T Nexus 6 I'd greatly appreciate it!

Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Free mobile app

Quick touch lag fix for some g3 phones topic

I did a search to see if this was covered and came up with nothing. So, sorry if it has as this is my first post ever. Anyway, under settings-accesibility, turn off touch to zoom. that feature enables triple tap to zoom. my phone came with it off and works perfect. wife's phone was horrible, couldnt play games for the touch lag. turned hers off and fixed all issues. This also works on other phones, i know galaxy phones for sure like the s4

quick toggles stopped working - how to reset? topic

My quick toggle buttons in the notification shade stopped responding, i can't turned on/off wifi, screen rotate, etc.

what do i need to reset to get it working again? i'd rather not factory reset if i don't have to.

thanks

edit, swiping back and forth to show more toggles still works, i just can't press on any of them

Quick setting toggles theme for DN4 topic

Hello All,
I tweaked the SystemUI of DN4 V2.1 with MODv7 and modified the quick setting icons and toggle style to ios style. With XPOSED module Blurred System UI, you can achieve the look as in screenshots.

Disclaimer: This is tested only on DN4 v2.1 with MODv7. I am not responsible for bricked devices!!

Installation Instructions:
  1. Better have backup (Nandroid ).

  2. Open Root Explorer, or ES File Expolorer (with Root enabled).

  3. Go to /system/priv-app/

  4. Backup SystemUI.apk

  5. Copy the downloaded SystemUI.apk and paste in /system/priv-app/

  6. Change the permissions of SystemUI.apk to rw -r -r

  7. Reboot system.

  8. If you face any issues restore the SystemUI.apk from your backup.

[FIX]Repair White Screen, Bootloop, Soft Brick etc. the quick & dirty way topic

Most guides suggest reflashing stock rom for this, however that means you would have to re-root your device and also install a new recovery again. Any other data on your system will get lost as well.

I had a white screen problem with my SGA+ and according to a post about Indian and Chinese SGA+ phones, I needed to flash a European stock rom first before I was able to use certain roms (e.g. kk) at all. Because of various reasons Odin was not an option, so I had to use heimdall. With heimdall all partitions are flashed in sequence and you can choose which ones you want to flash. In other words, you can flash a partial stock without touching anything that would be flashed by your custom rom anyway.

Tested with a Chinese SGA+
This will flash all partitions that are not affected by custom roms and rooting.

Requirements:
heimdall --- (google for it. XDA's spam filter prevented me from posting the link, lol)
stock rom --- If your phone is an Indian or Chinese SGA+, choose an S7500XX rom. Mine was S7500XXNB1_S7500OXXNA1_XSK. Getting a relatively new rom is also not a bad idea.
zip, tar capable archive manager

Tutorial:
1. Unzip your stock rom.
2. Rename the xx.tar.md5 file to xx.tar.
3. Untar / extract the tar file.
4. Open a terminal and move to the extracted directory.
5. Put your SGA+ in download mode (turn your phone off and boot with Power+Volume down+Home pressed).
6. Connect your USB cable.
7. Check your partitions with heimdall (as root on Linux systems)

Code:

heimdall print-pit

This step should be optional, but it's always good to be on the safe side. Check if the partition names and image names correspond with the following table:

Code:

  partition    image
  HIDDEN      hidden.img.ext4
  APPSBL      appsbl
  OEMSBL      oemsbl
  QCSBL        qcsbl.mbn
  CFG_DATA    qcsblhd_cfgdata.mbn

8. Flash all five partitions with heimdall (as root on Linux systems)

Code:

heimdall flash --HIDDEN hidden.img.ext4 --APPSBL appsbl --OEMSBL oemsbl --QCSBL qcsbl.mbn --CFG_DATA qcsblhd_cfgdata.mbn

9. Re-flash your custom rom if necessary.

TItle says most of it -- is there a chip does a "handshake" allowing for QC or will any generic high amp charger do the trick?

Need some help quick flashing ROM through SafeStrap topic

I'm trying to flash a ROM on a i337 S4 running 4.4.2 NB1, I have it rooted SuperSu installed and Safestrap custom recovery install. I boot into recovery create a new ROM slot (standard sized) flash ROM, flash NB1 modules, flash SuperSu (per ROM's instructions) then reboot. Now heres the problem, it will boot show Safestrap and the Samsung boot but right after that where you would normally see the AT&T boot or the ROM's boot it just goes black. Black screen nothing there no button press work nothing, I know the phones on because if I have it plugged into the computer through USB it will recognize it as an Android device. I let it sit for a good 10 minutes and nothing. Has happened on a couple different ROM's. The one I'm currently trying to flash in Empty Galaxy http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2768183

Leather Sleeve Case with Quick Watch Cut-Out topic

Hi folks,

I'm looking for a kind of sleeve for my G3, but with the cut-outs like the quick watch / window cases.
So you can use the quick watch apps and make calls through the window while the mobile is in the sleeve. And you can pull it out for answering text-massages etc..
Does someone know if there is anything like that?

Greetings from Cologne

Anker 18W USB Wall Charger with Qualcomm® Quick Charge 2.0 Review topic

I was really excited to get this new wall charger from Anker. Amazon said it had the Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 standard, and would supposedly enable the Adaptive Quick charge in my Samsung Galaxy Note 4… so I was happy when I plugged this bad boy in a low and behold… it worked! The Adaptive Quick Charge message popped up on my phone screen!

There is not much to the packaging… just the adapter and a micro usb charging cable. When you plug it into your Note 4… the LED on the charger will turn green to indicate that the Adaptive Charge is working. If you plug it into any other device, you get a blue led light.

The charger is well made… it is plastic, but feels solid. It is small which makes it great for travel… just toss in on your carry-on. And the fact that it charges fast makes life easier when you are trying to top off at an airport.

Other phones that support the Qualcomm Quick Charge standard are: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 / Edge, Google Nexus 6, HTC One (M8), Sony Xperia Z3 / Z2, Motorola Moto X.

For the price of bucks, with the 19 month Anker warranty… this device is a no brainer!

Pros:
- Small size
- Qualcomm Quick Charge Technology
- Price
- Warranty

Cons:
- None noted!

[Q] Problem with quick circle case (Not original) topic

Hi, I bought a non original quick circle case from ebay. The main problem is that it seems like the screen detects the fingers touching the front cover (when its closed) this makes the clock/apps go crazy. Is the case defective? or its rom related? I have AN 7.6 installed.

Flashlight gone from quick settings topic

Apparently I didn't use my flashlight app enough and it fell out of my quick settings. I can see how to get rid of something, but I can't find anything on how to get it back. I also don't see it as an app anywhere else.
