cant charge my phone.. battery is too high topic

Android 4.4.2 OzcanRom v6.3 rom rooted. no hardware changes have been made. No overclocking

So Ive had tons of problems of the USB connector so I took my phone to a local store, and they switched me the whole charging kit and installed a new one (original of course)

since then, I can not charge my phone. whenever I connect my phone to the charger I get an error: "device temperature is too high. charging paused".
physically, the device is not warm at all. according to a program, my batteries' temperature is 20c and whenever I connect a charger it jumps to 70c. when I disconnect it, it automatically goes down to 20c again.
CPU TEMP is 30c always.

even when I try charging when the device is turned off- same error.
Ive tried the following:
-> factory reset
-> install the same rom again
-> took my battery out of the phone for like an hour
->cacha partition reset.
X cant flash a new rom via odin, do the same error- too high
-> tried to connect to ANY different cables and charges- same error

Im lost.. what to do?

i have an issue with g2 d802.
sometimes it won't charge the phone.
it shows the lightning icon on the battery, states the device is plugged to AC charger, but it won't charge.
i'm using LG original charger & cable, also tried other LG original charger and the results are the same.
on my other device, G3 its working fine both chargers.
i've done factory reset->doesn't help.
rooted the phone and installed G3 ROM-> doesn't help
and sometimes when when trying to power on the device it shows a yellow warning sign with the battery icon .
any ideas??

Xperia T suddenly won't turn on ( or charge ) topic

Well Today I last remember I installed a theme. And maybe went on fb
After a hour or two after my phone was like dead
I won't turn on. Can't charge ( no vibration , led )
If I hold it even for a minute it won't turn on !
I tried to connect to flashtool
but my debugging is off.
I can't flash a ftf , nothing

And if it can be fixed somehow on a service how much would the repair cost

Hi bros,
Please help me with my uncle HTC incredible S (Vivo) phone (it used to be mine)
After overnight charge, the screen turn into blue/green, after restart it doesnt turn on anymore (as he said)
Here is the case:
- Charge OK: Plug the charger, the LED light on: Red (Charging) --> Green (full charge)
- Cannot turn on: Press power --> Vibrate once and nothing happen (even plug/unplug charger)
After that, the LED light not work (when plug charge) until remove the battery
- Try new battery --> the same problem
- Connect to PC: the LED twinkling (blink) with red light, no connection from PC
- Power + Volumn down --> Nothing (only Power --> vibrate--> nothing)
- The phone is Rooted, and my uncle just use it for browsing and game, nothing else.
Any help? I try a lot google search and find the similar post from 2 years ago, but unsolved

Qi Charging Issue; Turns On and Off at 100% Charge topic

Do any of you have an issue where the phone screen turns on and off (and beeps) when it reaches 100% charged using a Qi charger? I am using the official Samsung wireless back cover with a Nokia Qi charging pad. When the phone reaches Charged, it will turn the screen on, then it'll say Charging Wirelessly 100%, then it'll turn the screen off and start charging... and the cycle repeats every 20 second or so. Anyone else?

Discharging whilst on charge topic

Does anybody have any ideas what I can do to resolve my issue:

Most times whilst my phone is on charge it will lose its charge gradually. This is of more annoyance when it's below 15% and the notification pops up every second until I refit the cable again and again.

I know I can turn this notification off but it let's me know if my phone will actually charge once I've fit it right.

I have tried using many different chargers and non have helped, I have also replaced the cable flex as I thought it was an issue with the micro usb port but that hasn't helped either.

My options now are to replace the actual battery or get a new phone. I've had this since day one so I'm hoping a switch if the battery would help just wanted your ideas...

[Q] Intermittent red charge light and boot – any ideas? topic

I’ve been battling with this phone for a while – it’s been boot looping and the charge light only appears intermittently, and usually blinking. Recently a solid red charge light appeared – not sure why - and I got it to HBoot and managed to factory reset! It booted from there and I hoped that this would get it back to normal operation, but having powered down there was again not red charge light.
Could this just need a battery calibration? Is it likely to be hardware?
I did try the battery reset procedure of keeping vol +, vol - & power pressed for 2 mins but that was when there was no red light. Might that work if I can get back to a solid charge light?
Any other ideas to try?

Quick Charge 2.0 - Can any high amp or is there a chip topic

TItle says most of it -- is there a chip does a "handshake" allowing for QC or will any generic high amp charger do the trick?

[Q] Galaxy tab pro 12.2 will not charge topic

Recently purchased a refurbished tab pro 12.2 on ebay. First day I got it it had 60% battery, it worked great through out the day and I watched a movie on it before going to bed, after the movie it was below 15%, when I woke up and tried to used it the screen flickered a lot.
The Tablet wouldn't charge and then it completely ran out and will still not charge. I have tried the cable that came with it and a s5 charger as well as multiple charging bricks. Is the battery dead? Anything I can do?

If a picture is worth a thousand words, surely a video is worth a thousand pictures. I've been tinkering with 'droids for a while now, but this one is new for me. What the hell is happening, and how do I get it to stop?

[Q] Unable to turn on, but able to charge topic

Hello

I cannot turn on my Samsung G. Alpha. It charges, and the display shows the battery icon and the "charging animation", so the display works.
The notification light also works (is lights up green)

I have tried removing the battery - but that's about all i tried before running out of ideas.
I can open it if necessary

*Note* The phone has been exposed to some water, but I am pretty sure it hasn’t become wet inside.

Any suggestions?

[Q] Note 3 won't charge topic

To make it as short as possible, My original note 3's logic board died, so I purchased another Verizon note 3 from eBay that claimed to work, but had a bad charging port. Since my original N3s charging port worked perfectly fine, I figured I'd just swap the logic board over.

Well, the blasted thing still won't charge. It won't even recognize being plugged into USB. I've tried several different cords... Ranging from the stock USB 3.0 one, to the Galaxy Tab 3 cord... To cheap Gas station car plugs... nothing seems to work at all. I've tried wiggling the cable thinking maybe it may be loose, but that didn't work. I had NO issues with the charging / USB port when it had the original Logic board in it.

So, What are the chances the logic board has messed up USB / Charging circuit? Is it possible I didn't get something connected right? I figured if I did, Something wouldn't work... But everything does, Except usb. (Speakers work, Mic works for calls, home / soft button and lights work)

[Q] Nexus 4 softbricked, can't charge topic

my nexus 4 was on temasek's unofficial cm12 build ver 6.1
recovery in use was recovery-philz_touch_6.59.0-mako
i decided to update the rom to build 6.5, so i downloaded the zip to my sdcard,
i had not made a nandroid bkp
after flashing the rom/gapps/superuser, wiping dalvik and cache, things went wrong

after that the phone would only show 'google', then freeze, then go blank, then again show 'google'. this is the first Loop i have encountered where the boot animation never even showed up.

after that in about 8 hrs, i tried all of the foll-
installing the stock images: my phone booted up the first few times i flashed stock images using fastboot, but after three times (because each time it successfully booted i would go back to recovery to try flashing the customromzip) my phone stopped booting up for stock.
it resolutely stayed stuck on the boot ani.

recovery: flashed many times, via sdcard and also via fastboot. no problem with the recovery

zips. absolute fail. nothing can get me past the 'google'

now there's another peculiarity, which makes me wonder if there is hardware damage involved in this softbrick story

after all this flashing my charge came down to 20%, so i tried to charge it (switched off, obviously, since it isn't booting up)
but every time i connect my charger, it boots up,and then shows me google, and freeze and restart..same old cycle
in a last ditch attempt to somehow charge my phone i have brought it to fastboot, and left it connected to my laptop. i don't know if this will work.

please help, also i am now considering using a toolkit, unified android or wugfresh (the latter, i have a previous bad experience with) to get my phone to atleast switch on with something.
should i use the toolkit or just take my brick to the servicecenter to check for damage to hardware

Unable to Charge when phone is on topic

Hi all,

I am current facing a rather weird issue.
My M7 was unable to charge when the phone is on. Its only charging when my phone turns off or in recovery mode, fastboot mode.
Even when the phone is off, the charging starts (the new boot animation with the battery will show). Then after like 2 mins or so it will not charge and resets the charging cycle again. (the red dot on top will off and on again).
I tried almost everything, clearing the cache full wipe and trying other roms. Even tried multiple cables. I even sent to HTC repair and they wanted to charge me a fortune to fix it..
Please is there any solution to this issue? Thanks alot.

My moto 360's battery was left drained for 1 day, and now it won't charge or boot topic

I left my moto 360's charger while I went out for a trip and I was only able to charge it when I got back home. I left it to charge for about 3 hours and the screen never turned on.

I've tried charging it for a good 8 hours before trying to boot it, but still nothing.
I also tried hard restart through holding the button down for 25-30 seconds, and my moto 360 never vibrated, nor did the screen light up.

I then hooked it up to my wall adaptor charger with an indicator light and it seems that the white led light at the button of the charging cradle lit up, but when I checked the wall adaptor's indicator light, it did not light to to signal that nothing was charging or plugged at all.

I live in the Philippines and I had it shipped from the USA, that's why having it replace is not possible :(

When I charge my phone I noticed that my phone's life is decreasing and when I removed the cord it's still charging. The charging is only working when I restart or shut down my phone.. I tried using other cords and charger and formatting my phone but I still experiencing the same problem. :confused:

Won't charge with non samsung charger after NK1 Update topic

I have several S4's here. One recently flashed with NK1 (still on NC5 bootloader, but NK1 based rom and kernel).

This phone will only charge when connected to the original samsung 2A charger that came with the phone. Phone refuses to charge off of any other charger.

I have another S4 that's mdk based running GPE (4.4.4) that will charge off of any charger.

Is this something new in NK1??? I don't recall having any such issues when on NC5.

Thoughts/comments?

Anker 18W USB Wall Charger with Qualcomm® Quick Charge 2.0 Review topic

I was really excited to get this new wall charger from Anker. Amazon said it had the Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 standard, and would supposedly enable the Adaptive Quick charge in my Samsung Galaxy Note 4… so I was happy when I plugged this bad boy in a low and behold… it worked! The Adaptive Quick Charge message popped up on my phone screen!

There is not much to the packaging… just the adapter and a micro usb charging cable. When you plug it into your Note 4… the LED on the charger will turn green to indicate that the Adaptive Charge is working. If you plug it into any other device, you get a blue led light.

The charger is well made… it is plastic, but feels solid. It is small which makes it great for travel… just toss in on your carry-on. And the fact that it charges fast makes life easier when you are trying to top off at an airport.

Other phones that support the Qualcomm Quick Charge standard are: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 / Edge, Google Nexus 6, HTC One (M8), Sony Xperia Z3 / Z2, Motorola Moto X.

For the price of bucks, with the 19 month Anker warranty… this device is a no brainer!

Phone Doesn't Charge or Boot topic

Hi All,

Recently I have been having multiple problems related to My LG G Pro E98X Indian Version.
1) Battery sometimes drops suddenly. ex From 92% to 40 % in a second. Replaced battery with New one still issue persisted.
2) Charging was too slow, hence tried a New LG Charger and another Samsung 2.1A charger to charge, Seen some improvement.
3) Now 3 Days Before, After charging it for some time it heated and Few time later, it Shut down. And hence from that day neither it is booting nor it is charging.
4) When i connect the phone to Wall charger or USB Charger , it flashes front White LED continuously. When i Press Volume Up+Down+ power my PC detects it as a USB drive for 1 Second and disconnects.
5) Volume Down + Menu + Power Button or Hard Reset also not working.

Suggest any Solution.
