[Q] Question on Android version topic

Hi,

I'm currently running on Paranoid Android 4.6 beta 5 and would like to move to Android Revolution since I'd like to get MHL functionality.

I am currently on Android 4.4.4, so my question is if the Android Revolution ROM (which runs on 4.3 Jelly Bean) will work on 4.4.4, or if I need to downgrade (if that's possible) the Android version first.

[Q] Invalid CG Version (CG: boot) topic

Hi everyone:
I followed the following steps but failed:
1. Go and download moto-fastboot here (fastboot command from sdk will work too)

2. Download boot.img from here and put it in the folder with moto-fastboot
SHA1: 4add80cb4d5d54bc382ac1cb5c9bed3602853dce (same as in 2.3.6)

3. Boot your moto in FlashBoot mode (vol up + vol down + power)

4. Open command prompt and go to the above folder

5. Check if your device is present : moto-fastboot.exe devices

6. Next type: moto-fastboot.exe flash boot boot.img

You should see:
sending 'boot' (8192 KB)... OKAY [ 0.760s]
writing 'boot'... OKAY [ 1.455s]

I only can see this:
C:\temp1\boot>moto-fastboot.exe flash boot boot.img
sending 'boot' (8192 KB)... OKAY [ 0.767s]
writing 'boot'... INFOPreflash validation failure
FAILED (remote: )

So this one isn't working when I flash it with TWRP ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/desi...stock-t2961521 ). I wasn't successful looking for one so I was hoping I could find some help here. After I flash back to stock I want to flash this kernel ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/desi...ernel-t2969979 ).
Correct me if I'm wrong but I feel as though this combination is better than just having CM11. Less hardware issues is a huge plus for me.

I'm thinking of getting the international version of the Note 4 (N910f), I'm currently in Mexico studying but I'm planning to go back to the US when I finish. I would like to know if someone that has the international version of the Note 4 has LTE working in the US or if there is a workaround on how to make it work.

[Q] new CWM version to install via recovery or ODIN? topic

Been running CM rom for years and love it. Yesterday my power button broke and I could not fix it. Swapped in a spare motherboard that had stock rom (4.3). Figured I would root and restore a backup from my SD card and be on my merry way.

Rooted via ODIN and ended up with CWM v5.5.0.4.

Verified I had a good root and failed to update to a newer CWM version before rebooting to CWM recovery to backup the existing stock image and restore my old backup.

The restore failed with status 7 which I know is potentially a CWM version issue. The partial restore killed my existing image so I went to retore it and it is hanging at the white att logo screen. I wiped the cache and dalvik and did a factory reset with no joy.

I see a bunch of stuff out there how to update CWM via the ROM manager but that is not an option for me since I can't get the OS to function. If I can get a newer version of CWM I think I can get my old backup running.

Where can I get a newer CWM version that is capable of being loaded via zip in recovery or via ODIN?

Kodi splash art for new version. topic

I just upgraded to the new version of kodi and was able to transfer pretty much everything over from my old setup with a few minor adjustments. The only thing that will not carry over and I cannot apply manually is the kodi/amazon splashart... is anyone able to get this working? I known it's not the end of the world I just thought it looked cooler than the SPMC that currently loads.

Actually I want to use ROMs at One (M8) Android Development section. What I have to do that? I always used unlocked Samsung phones and don't know anything about this.

I've just updated to version 5.0 and though in general the interface does look better. I'm not liking it. Pet hates are the way you cant see what the notification is or says unless you go past the lock screen and onto the home screen. And also my battery is now lasting a full day at work where before it would last me all day easily. How can I revert back one update?

Latest i9505 modem version for Philippines? topic

My current modem is XXUEMKE and have installed the GoldenFinger. But I'm having problems with connectivity, it's quite slow compared how other devices use it and when it gets to 15% battery and lower, it cannot connect to mobile data anymore. Yes, it has H+ on it but doesn't connect. When I turn off the mobile data, it cannot get any mobile data signal anymore especially when it's lower than 5%.

I have searched this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2192025 and found modem versions for i9505. What I'm asking is if these latest version works good for Philippines:

what version is xt1063 topic

I've gotten my hand on a Moto G 2nd Generation. Sorry I've exhausted the search engine on trying to find out what country this moto g is for. The model on the back says XT1063. It is only single sim. does not have any network branding on it. In the system information, it says Moto G (2nd generation) I've tried ATT sim, Tmobile Sim, Verizon Sim, and even bought an unlock code, but noway for me to enter the code. My only guess now is that this version is already unlocked, but for another country(india???) Does anyone know how to get to the menu to enter the unlock screen if this is indeed the global (compatible with US). The tutorials I saw just shows putting in a sim from another network and it shows the unlock code screen.

and if it is indeed a different country, may I ask which one so I can somehow try to sell it.

Dear friends, my friend bought a second hand LG G2 sprint version from olx India. The phone is unlocked already and its rooted also. But the problem is in some sims, the internet doesnt work but the network is there..(data is not working).

Will installing custom roms solve the problem?? I have done the permanent sim unlock for LS980(one thread is there for it).

[Q] LG G2 version problem topic

Hello All,
Well Ive had my head buried in the xda forums for about a week and a half, two weeks now so I decided to post my issue hoping someone could advise me, I rooted my phone LG G2 D80220c-HKG-XXX, kitkat 4.4.2, Ive tried flashing a couple different roms but it would not take, ( I am sure its rooted ) and the last one cm12 I had to abort and at that point I decided I would just go back to stock and unroot, well to my great pleasure (lol) the ota for lollipops push came to my phone and guess what!!! I left it with my dad, and not knowing what it was excepted it thinking it was a app update of some kind, no problem, it was stuck in cwm recovery loop, after researching the forum I used Minimal ADB and Fastboot from 'shimp208' and ADB shell code to boot from 'thecubed'' post [fix] Installed TWRP and now you're stuck OTA, To shorten this long story, Im operating on basic os 4.4.2 now and discovered that my imei # is that of a D800 but my build number is KOT49I.D80220c, baseband version is M8974A-AAAANAZM-1.0.190084 and of course the software is in the above text, so now I have no clue what firmware to use to go back to stock, I'm thinking D800 but I dont no where or even if what I need exists, Ive searched where, does anyone have any ideas, thanks for reading and for any help.
