[Q] Titanium Backup Pro not restoring accounts, passwords, etc. topic

I recently flashed CM12 onto my phone and upgraded to Titanium Backup Pro to backup my apps and data (I also did a Clockwork Mod backup in case of emergency). Everything seemed to go fine until at the end of the restore from TB Pro a system message came up asking if I wanted to change the default messaging app. I couldn't get rid of this message (or get back to TB Pro) no matter how many times I tapped either yes or no on the system message so (reluctanly) I rebooted the phone. I opened TB Pro and found a log which said the restore was complete. I then found that it had restored all the apps but not all the linked accounts, passwords or system settings (it has restored some app settings, like Pocket Informant and Nova even though with Nova I still had to choose to use it rather than the Google option to use it the first time).

I know some people reflash their OS every night so I assume you don't usually have to reconfigure half the phone manually! I'm guessing the stuck message interfered with the restore in some way and so this was just bad luck. Anyone know if there was any reason for the persistent error message about messaging app or if there is anything I could have done to prevent this happening within TB Pro or in general?

[Q] Best root for 4.3 to run titanium? (total noob) topic

Hello all.

I have looked at root threads till my eyes bleed, but being an absolute total noob to android (but not to devices) I am having a hard time.

I want to root my Note 3 SM-900V running 4.3 so I can run titanium backup.

Can anyone point me to a step by step? The phone is currently wiped and I am not too worried about knox if that matters.

Thanks so much!

Dazzling white vs Titanium Bronze topic

hello folks!

So I'm about to receive the titanium bronze Samsung galaxy tab s 8.4 and will have 14 days to make an exchange. I went to the store the other day and had a comparison with the texture of Titanium bronze vs dazzling white. So I made a little scratch test with my finger nails on the demos and the white can barely see any scratches being made while the bronze can definitely see scratch marks made. Despite this I was wondering what other pros/cons for these back covers have? I'm most likely am going to have a skin protection for the front/back of the tablet because I want to protect any scratch marks and finger prints in case. Does anyone know of any good skin protection out there? Is ZAGG any good? I'm also looking for book cases that can make the tablet stand at a 45 degree, cover the front and back for extra protection. I welcome all feedbacks and recommendations

[Q] Titanium Backup Stopped Removing System Apps topic

I've flashed multiple custom ROMs on my Nexus 7 and am currently on ParanoidAndroid (kitkat). However for the last couple of ROMs I flashed, Titanium Backup suddenly stopped removing system apps on the tablet, despite it working on all my other Android devices. Did something change on the Nexus 7 that cause it to break Titanium Backup? I mean I know what I'm doing since I've been using this app ever since I got my Galaxy S 5 years ago. Yep it is rooted with SuperSU installed and granting permissions to Titanium Backup. Also have BusyBox installed just in case the Nexus 7 needs it, even though normally Titanium Backup doesn't need it.

Titanium backup restore topic

Hello xda members,

So I've backed up all of my user+system apps , and pressed the dropbox sync.
Now i want to format my device and install a different ROM, what is the way to restore files back from my dropbox folder?
I'm afraid that after i will install a new ROM , and press the sync dropbox it will delete all of my files in the cloud.

thanks!

[Q] Z3C just rooted and Titanium Backup issue topic

Hello there, I just rooted my Z3C 5803 phone with the exploit founded yesterday (.93 FW) and first thing I did was to install Titanium Backup because there were a lot of programs I wanted to remove for good from this device and also wanted to integrate newer versions into the Rom. Whenever I try to integrate, for example, a newer YouTube, Google Chrome, Google Play Store version into the Rom, TB seems to keep trying and trying forever.
Checking into the TB FAQ i found this:

"14. I tried to integrate system app updates or to convert user apps to system apps but it didn’t work. Why?

These features require a NAND unlocked ("S-OFF") device, in order to write to the ROM.
Depending on the software, some S-ON devices may "remember" modifications made to /system for a while, or until the next reboot. That is not enough for our purpose.
Please search the Internet for information on how to make your particular device S-OFF."

.......but, of course, for me that is Chinese. Doesn´t mean that if I´m root, I can anything I want to the Rom? If not, what do I need to make the phone S-OFF?
Hope someone could help this noob!
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Titanium Backup and External SD card issues topic

I have the 7" Tab 4 and am running rooted stock ROM. Have Titanium Backup pro, but there's no option to "move to SD" for any application, even ones I know can be moved to SD. Also, using the regular Android interface to move apps, sometimes they fail with an unhelpful error of "Unable to move app to SD".

Also, I tried to move my Titanium Backup folder from internal storage to the external storage. Moved it using ES File explorer to /storage/extSDCard/TitaniumBackup but TB doesn't detect it, and if I browse to it and set it as the folder, it tells me the folder is not writeable.
