Can no longer hear phone calls without speaker phone. topic

Seeing as there's no earpiece and it uses that 'direct wave technology feature to vibrate the audio off the screen, dropping the device can cause this issue.

No external damage whatsoever, but it must have jogged some pieces around inside and caused 2 issues.

1. Extremely quiet (can't hear it really at all) audio during phone calls

2. My apple headphones all of the sudden don't work with this device. Only standard headphones work. (they have a slightly different plug. The order of the L and R inputs are switched on the plug)

I only had the phone 2 weeks. Not sure what to do seeing as I have it on Boost Mobile and bought it from their site. Its not worth sending back and being without a phone (which I can't anyway (14 day warranty))

There's no obvious damage on the inside so I can't tell what happened in there.

[Q] Problems with OPO vibration in calls topic

So to start, yes, my OPO DOES vibrate when quiet hours is off. So it's not a vibrator motor problem.

My issue is that with quiet hours on, I want to allow all calls to cause my phone to vibrate. I have unchecked 'Disable Vibrations' and 'Phone Ringer' is set to 'Ring for all callers' within quiet mode. My phone sound is set to vibrate, ring mode is set to vibrate, and vibrate when ringing are all activated.

Nonetheless, when a call comes in, the phone does not ring.

I have tried following the steps here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...0&postcount=11 as well as done a reboot subsequently. No avail.

Any kind soul with an idea? :)

Can make calls and texts but not receive. topic

This just started today. I haven't installed any new apps. I can make phone calls and send texts as I should be able to.

If anyone calls me it goes straight to voicemail and texts never get received.

I have tried clearing the data for my texts and phone under app settings and I have removed and reinserted the battery.

Please help.

Hey all. How is everyone? Hope you'll are all doing well and have got plans for the weekend other than helping me with my problem :confused:
I have a S4 Mini Duos and while using the phone, it suddenly restarted and since then I was unable to make and receive calls. Along with that, the phone shows that there is just a single SIM installed on the status bar even though when I check the "Status" of the phone in the "About Device" page it shows two SIMS each with signal strength. I know these SIMs work, since I tested them on other devices. The status bar shows that first SIM has signal because I can see all four bars. Dragging down the notification bar show "Emergency calls only" and when I try and make a call a message shows up saying "Not registered on network". Normally when I used to make calls, two phone buttons were available for use with each SIM. Now only one phone button shows up. When I dial *#06# to check the IMEI, I get a box which reads
"IMEI
35*************/01
null/ null"
I have starred out the rest of the IMEI because of security I guess lol.
I have also tried to choose "Network operators" for each SIM, however it is greyed out along with "Data roaming", "Access Point Names", "Network mode". For the first SIM, the "Mobile data" option isn't greyed out but for the second SIM it is. Ticking the "Mobile data" box does nothing to help the phone. I have restarted the phone multiple times but it hasn't worked. I have also checked for software updates but absolutely nothing shows up.

Headphones connected bug, cant make calls topic

Hello,

my phone out of the blue has started to show the headphones icon in the notification bar like if the headphones were connected.

Well they aren't and I can not make calls now.

Anyone esle experienced this? :/

First of all my specs:
I9300 International
Unofficial CM 12 build made by JustArchi and Moster7
My problem is that my voice does not go through in a call, the person who I am talking says that he cannot hear me bur I can hear him. Same goes for voice recording, the only thing that is recorded is some sort of static. But in video recordings, well, it records my voice but with some static.
I tried cleaning both the mic holes with a safety pin by poking the holes carefully, but it did moy work.
I cleared the data of every app that uses voice recording, no effect.
Help pls.

When I get a call the screen is still blank!
If by any luck one call will wake the screen, the after I answer it, the screen goes black again!!!

I have an unrooted atrix HD I was using with straight talk service. It worked great for months but now when I try to make calls or send messages I get a message telling me to turn off airplane mode. The problem with that is airplane mode isn't on.

When I go to settings the mobile network settings are greyed out, and the status shows my number as unknown, imei 0, imei sv 00, service state says radio off.

I can put my sim card in a different phone and use it fine so I know its not a problem with my sim card.

I have cleared the cache partition thing and factory reset the phone and it still is the same.

Please help! I love that phone!!

Whenever I use DATA (3G)on my 1st Sim, I am not able to receive any calls or messages on my second sim
When I switch tha data connection off, everything works fine,
The problem is while using 3G Data only, If I use 2G Data on 1st sim then calls and messages are coming on second sim......

Starnge problem with my set only...... :(

Using TWRP 2.8.3.0 version, I tried CM 11 and Carbonn ROM also But same problem...

In past I have flashed many ROM's, Can this be the problem for this...?

Can anybody tell me why a T-mobile unlocked phone won't work with T-mobile?

I used the phone on my carrier and it was flawless. Everything was fine till suddenly i lost phone signal. It always show "NO SERVICE" message now, but strangely I still have 4G Connection. I can use the phone to navigate, not to make phone calls.
So I swapped carriers, and the phone was working ok, phone calls, data connection.... then the thing happened again: no service, but i have 4g LTE connection.

Inserted a third sim card, from another carrier. Phone is fine, workin as it should! But this is not my main sim card and i would like it very much to work with ANY carrier. Do you guys have any idea what the problem is? Factory reset did not work at all. For the others sim cards, it recognize the network for a second and then "no service". How can i have data connection if there is "no service"?

Im really desperate because i payed a lot for this note 4... Maybe if i root the phone and flash another ROM?

Messages and Missed Calls on the lock screen topic

Hi All,

I am trying to stop the lock screen notifications. The reason is that I am using NiLS and I want to use only NiLS for now.
The problem is that I cannot stop the missed calls and messages notification that came with the phone and so far I have both NiLS and Android (note 4) notifications on my lock screen.
I tried some options in "Notifications" Section in Messages app but with no luck. I was able to remove the text only but I still receive "New Message" notification on the lock screen.
Any help will be much appreciated.

Galaxy note 3 black screen for incoming calls. topic

Hey guys.

This phone had been amazing however I think we we and tear might be my issue due to heavy use for business.

My current issue that I can't seem to fix is incoming calls display a black screen.
Scenario 1: phone is in pocket. Call comes in, take phone out of pocket, can't see who is calling unless I press home button a few times to wake it up.
Happens everytime

Scenario 2: phone is sitting anywhere when call comes in and screen can either be completely black or just brightness won't activate.
Happens intermittently.

I've done a full factory reset as well which didn't fix it.

It is in warranty still but I can't afford to send it off as I use this for business.
