Yu Yureka hardware code / hidden hardware test code topic

Hi,

I have been struggling to find a code that gives me the system test menu similar to what it gives on Samsung devices. e.g. hxxp: www-eggheaven-com/codes/phones/2413-android-phone-codes (replace - with .)

Can someone share the codes. To explain this more, the code lets the user to test the hardware like the LCD, touch, wifi, bluetooh, camera, etc.

This is a list of radios for the YU Yureka (tomato). With the new OTA release, some people may have better signals with the old radio or want to tinker with the new one so here is a list that will be updated to allow users to switch to their preferred radio/modem.

Radios are independent of Android version, use the radio that provides you the best signal. It varies from user to user, there is no best radio/modem Why? Different carriers, different locations, and more. There are so many factors that play into cellular signal so just because a particular radio is the best for someone doesn't mean its the best for you. We can obtain a consensus on which radio performs the "best" for the largest % of users though.

How to Flash?
Simply flash the .zip below in your preferred recovery. If you prefer flashing via fastboot, extract the .bin file out of the .zip file and flash it by typing,

Cyanogen team has started rolling out Cyanogen OS XNPH05Q update for the newly launched Yu YUREKA smartphone in India, which it took three weeks after it went on sale.The latest XNPH05Q OTA update is now available for the Micromax Yureka Android smartphone.

The update comes with new features and improvement and security fixes.

[Q] Battery drain and slow charging issue in Micromax Yureka topic

Hi android users,
I got a new micromax yureka and am having an issue of battery drainage from the very first day. I just installed few apps like whatsapp, facebook, mx player etc. Sometime later, I observed that my battery is discharging very soon. It seems like, can discharge from 100% to 0% in just 2-3 hours.

I checked the battery status and found that "Media Server" is listed on the top with 51%. For this, I did this:
Settings-> Apps ->All, select Media Storage & disable it. Clear data & reboot. Now enable it & reboot.

Now somewhat battery is discharging slowing but still results are not good. Also, mobile is charging very slowly. (Say <=20% in an hour). I googled other solutions for this problems, but none worked. Can anyone help me in this?
PS: My device is not rooted.

[Q] Yureka behaving weird. topic

So the phone was connected to the power bank and sitting idle when I pressed the power button and there was no response. I tried a couple times and then removed the battery, tried again and it powered on. Surprisingly it showed the battery at 56% whereas it should be over 90. I'm just thinking about it that it again stops responding, display won't wake up even with the power button but the LED is blinking. Weird, switch it on again after removing battery, powers on, now battery is 94%. A couple minutes later again it switches off. Power it on again, now battery is 92% and it's been fine for around 10 minutes. How worried should I be and is it time to seek a replacement? Please help, guys.

[Q] Front side speaker in YU yureka topic

Front side speaker is not working when I call or attend calls.. When I activate loudspeaker then I can hear and talk.. Problem is front speaker(near front cam) is not working.. Is there any settings should I do or it is hardware problem or software problem?
Another thing is in about phone.. It shows me about ARM v7 processor rev 1 (v7l) what is this type processor? Anybody can you please upload screenshot about phone of their YU yureka.

Please, don't be intimidated by any techy lingo, the second paragraph will have a quick rundown for non devs!

Hey all! @YoshiShaPow and I need a little help selecting the toolchain to use for official releases! Currently, we are using a GNUEABI Linaro toolchain optimized for Cortex A15 processors. But, as shown in a recent test (similar to this one) conducted by Chet Kener (@Cl3Kener), GNUEABI toolchains have worse performance and battery life in comparison to their ARM-EABI counterparts. The tree toolchains that I have compiled are Linaro, and (what I refer to as LinaroMod and SaberNaro) 2 hybrid SM and Linaro toolchains.

What does this mean for you?
I have compiled three toolchains to use for the kernel. We need you to help test the kernels to find what is best for the official releases of the kernel. Below are the requirements for the test (Copied from Chet's toolchain war)

1. You must flash both kernels on the SAME ROM and should spend at least a day on each
(but 2 or 3 days would be best if you can, this is not a quick fight this is all out toolchain war!)

2. You must keep track of battery life as best as possible.
Take screenshots of you SOT, Stand by, voice calls, other apps you think are significant. I will be posting a short questionnaire/survey where I expect you to have some details on battery life. I don't need to see all of your screenshots but you are welcome to post them all here in this community for us to all see.

3. Try and to keep track of performance the best you can
Obviously I don't want you to shy away from benchmarks. By all means run as many of them as you like. I also understand that benchmarks don't always give the whole picture on performance so I'm also looking for you to describe any differences you see between these three kernels. Comparison and contrast are the preferred method. (ie. This one opens camera app faster than that one. This one has smoother scrolling than that one. This one has a more fluid UI than that one. etc.)

4. Look for anything else that is measurable that you can test
Test boot times, test app opening times on large apps like Facebook. Look for operations that cause lag on the kernel and try to reproduce the lag doing the same thing on the other etc.

5 Most importantly have fun and keep track of your observations!
If this isn't going to help make your week more enjoyable don't participate. I'm not trying to ruin your week.

I bought a new micromax yureka 3 days ago. I have a problem while attending calls. The display is going off whenever i attend a call or i make a call, iam not able to operate mobile while i am speaking over the phone. Can i get any solution for this problem

[MOD] YU Yureka Unlocker: Reset Unlock & Tamper Bit topic

Most of the concept & content if this thread is inspired by this thread, so a huge thanks to @Mnt-XDA.

INTRO / CONCEPT

Most of us know that we can flash custom roms or can root device only after UNLOCKING the bootloader from fastboot mode.
If you relock your bootloader, you will need to do a full backup-and-restore whenever you decide to unlock it again.

This mod will allow you to unlock the bootloader without wiping the userdata as oppose to fastboot oem unlock command.

Note:

Many users having trouble to UNLOCK their device for the FIRST TIME by using this script.
Let me clarify few things for this mod.

The main purpose of this script is not UNLOCK Bootloader without wiping data.
It's main purpose is to reset tamper bit, which can not be done by any other way.
UNLOCK Bootloader without wiping data -- is another outcome of this MOD.

If you have not unlocked your device before (atleast for 1 time) by using command "fastboot -i 0x1ebf oem unlock", then the script might not work for you.

In case your device is locked and you want to install this script from custom recovery like TWRP,
it will be possible only if, you can boot temporarily using command -- fastboot -i 0x1ebf boot <custom_recovery.img>.
If this command failed, you will not be able to run the unlocker script and hence device will not be unlocked without wiping data. For me, it isn't working.

In which condition the device can be booted to custom recovery by using command -- fastboot -i 0x1ebf boot <custom_recovery.img>, is still not very clear.

Before running the command , check your device status "fastboot -i 0x1ebf oem device-info"
and report your error with the following points
1) Did you unlock your device before by any means? (or by fastboot -i 0x1ebf oem unlock) ?
2) What is the recovery already installed in your device?
3) What is the status of your device ? "fastboot -i 0x1ebf oem device-info"
4) What error message you got when tried to run command: fastboot -i 0x1ebf boot <custom_recovery.img>.
5) Steps you tried.

There are 4 possibilities of the the value set of the 2 bits (unlock bit & tamper bit)
1) Unlock Bit - FALSE , Tamper Bit - FALSE
2) Unlock Bit - FALSE , Tamper Bit - TRUE
3) Unlock Bit - TRUE, Tamper Bit - FALSE
4) Unlock Bit - TRUE, Tamper Bit - TRUE

After getting proper error report from you , we can give confirmation about, in which of the above state,
fastboot -i 0x1ebf boot <custom_recovery.img> will work and hence installing the unlocker script/mod/zip can help you to
UNLOCK your Bootloader without wiping DATA.

Kindly report your issues as I mentioned above...

How to access Kernel menu on non-rooted yureka topic

In normal CM we all have a performance option where we can change few kernel settings. I noticed that its not there on yureka.

So i was just looking around and came around a trick on how to access that menu and our yureka also has profiles like performance , balanced and battery.
